Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #81,521
This morning was 41°, yesterday was in the 70's and sunny. Today is going to be warmer in the mid 80's and some wind this afternoon. If this keeps up we won't have much of a winter. I haven't seen it this dry in the 10 years I've been here.

Eric, that made me think of the running of the bulls in Spain. It looked like everyone was having a good time even the sheep and no one got hurt.

The luncheon was kind of a bust yesterday, only few couples showed up. I felt bad for the for the hosts they put a lot of work in to it.

Not sure what I'll do today.

Hope everyone has a good start to the week.
CWB.

71°F and .52 inches rain
O this morning in hopes my blade bolts are there. Sure wish I had gotten a tracking number. What should be there is my Milestone herbicide, special treat for the albizia.

Into Hilo town this afternoon, HD, propane refill for cottage, other errands.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Spray plans for weekend were a bust, it was too windy. I did get the lawn mowed.

We decided to go the local county fair Saturday afternoon, but found out when we got there that others had the same idea and the parking lots were full, so we went to quilt shop instead. My wife looked and looked, but did not find what she was wanting to get...

After church and lunch on Sunday, tried the fair again, found parking not too far. Without granddaughter with us, it did not take too long to see all we wanted to see. Wife wanted a EcoSpa (super insulated hot tub), I tried an EMS (like a TENS unit), it was nice, but price seemed high. We got some kettle corn and watched people awhile.. good to go for another year.

Prayers for all, sounds like folks are staying busy.

That looks like child abuse! What did the poor children do wrong? :)

They are safety conscious. They put the kids on backwards so they don't get head-on head injuries.

Drew, start preparing. Diesel for your tractor, grapple on, extra Chainsaw fuel and chain. Have a place scoped out that the debris can be stacked near the road.

Drew, are you sure you don't think it is a good time to go on a road trip? Sounds like it will be nasty down there. Ether way be safe. Only thing I will need to do is pump the pool down but will wait until it is closer.

David and all expecting the BIG STORMS, stay safe and hang on to your hat. Ed

Usually by the time they get here, they are just a big rain event, just like this weekend. But this time, the low areas are already flooded, hopefully some will go down before the nightingale hits.

Flo needs to go... north that is and soon. Ain’t going to happen this time I’m a feared. We don’t have as much water as in the spring but the ground is pretty well saturated.
I’m supposed to go to Winchester and Front Royal Saturday. We will play wait and see.

There is a major high pressure area, off the upper east coast, that is steering Florence to the Carolinas.

OuterBanks/Hatteras Island just evacuated. Cat 4 as predicted.
Folks are leaving the Pamlico River, storm surge of 15 to 20 feet predicted.
That is record breaking here and means everything along the River will be messed up.
While I am happily at 32 ft above sea level...and ten miles away from the River.

Last time hurricane drove all the water "up the River" it wrecked the next big town over, Greenville, where ECU is, currently sending students home, and the area main hospital. Pamlico River name changes into Tar River at Washington and it's where all the water goes when it can't go anywhere else...

What really looks bad frankly is inland and all the rain headed to VA. Buppies and others be careful too. I bet roads will be impassable for days.
