Pure speculation, but I wonder if it wasn't Canadian...
Are the EU models available in Canada?

I thought it might be, but I just checked a Canadian bobcat dealers web page and it listed the v519. So I guess not.
Back when I worked On DC9 and B727 freighters, our cargo ramp was next to a large drainage ditch. One summer evening, while watching our DC9 takeoff, it aborted and taxied back to the cargo ramp. The Captain opened his cockpit window and hollowed............"No airspeed indication".
I immediately grabbed a ladder and looked into the opening of the pitot mast to find it covered up by a mud dauber. I could poke the dirt loose, but didn't have anything to clean the dirt out with that was handy. Lets just say I had a lot of dirt to spit out of my mouth that night, so we wouldn't take a delay!

That is truly "taking one for the team", Brandi.![]()
I'm not gonna go there.Brandi, no update now, but thanks for the interesting posts. I can imagine what it was like sucking the remaining dirt from the pitot tube.
