Good morning all. The weather is playing mind games this morning, I had it all planned out for the predicted dry day and then was woken by the rain on the roof. The clouds offer little clue about what is coming next, they have a will-it-wont-it look about them that almost guarantees whatever I do now will have been the wrong decision by the end of the day. :confused3:
At least I managed to pump a fair amount of water into the underground water tank yesterday. The ground up by the little pond was just firm enough to get the generator near enough without the Iseki sinking up to it's axles. For this first fill I was using a Tsurumi LB 480 water pump, which was filling it nicely at a rate of about 40 gal/minute until the generator started to cough after a couple of hours - I hadn't put in enough petrol. If a ewe with twin lambs
drinks 1.5 gallons per day on a hot day and the field has 30 ewes, someone good at both maths and weather forecasting will be able to tell me what date I need to think of refilling again.
Thanks for the info on the zero turns, I can understand the appeal of joystick controls a little better now, although having said that, I don't find mowing the lawn with a wheel steered machine hard work at all - my wife does it !
That sounds a great day out riding Mostly, I bet sleep came very quickly last night.
