Good morning to all! 42 this morning, calm breeze, going up to 72. Weather guessers say 50/50 chance of showers late tomorrow evening. They keep pushing the chance of rain further back, which ussually means we won't get any...oh well...prolonged drought.
Went out and put about 10 hrs on the tractor. We had an old above ground pool, which was lowered about 2' into the ground. Emptied it about 3 years ago to replace the liner, never did. Decided it was time for it to go last year. Just wasn't a priority. Well the BH made quick work of it. Then started filling in the hole...lots of trips to the dirt pile left over from putting in the septic on the adjoining property. Nice to have a bunch of tractor time
Knee is doing better each day. PT done 2 days ago reminded me not to overdo it. Another session today, then either finish up the last of filling in the hole or take wifey on some errands.....mmmm, which one should I choose?:confused3:
Don, I agree w/ you on the use of netting. Last year we were trying to keep rabbits from eating a few new small shrubs and put netting over them. Ended up killing a big bull snake (which are our friends) who got tangled up...off came the netting.
Hope your neighbor made out ok...done many LZ out here to...
RNG, nice property, don't cut just yet, enjoy all the beauty of the wildflowers. When I first moved out west here to the mountains of NM, the wildflowers and 'green' were similar to your area. Since about 2005, it's been getting drier and drier, browner and browner. Now the drought is considered "exceptional", hope it's not a sign of another dust bowl.
Randy, glad to hear your feeling better, don't push it, continue to get well.
Jay, hope Brogen doesn't miss his parts too much...is an Elizabethan collar in the works? On another note... Maybe you need to make sure the tractor is running right after sitting a long cold winter? (Could get in some seat time).
Hope everyone has a great day. Prayers out for today.
