LED lights still seem to be at the point in their development where every time you look they've gotten cheaper.

36” leds, not sure lumens but it’s bright in there.

You could still go with the key-less with outlet in the base... this gives the option for a plug in lamp

When I did my last garage it was a long time ago... did keyless base with emt conduit... looks nice today... the lighting is good and the bench has the T8 Fixture.

All depends on what you need.

At work have some wall mounted metal halide lamps which are kind of pricey... the ballast started going out so I just replaced the them with CREE LED and took the ballast out of the circuit... no one has complained and my LED conversion was basically the cost of the LED bulb and about 10 minutes to open the fixture and by-pass the ballast...

I've got post lamps around the walk ways and thinking of doing the same.

You’re right they are 4 footers.

The price point seems to be with 4' lamps and fixtures...

The longer ones are more problematic to ship and handle... and the shorter ones often cost more because they are not as universal plus 4' fits most ceiling grids.

I sure have been impressed with my Costco 4' LED bulbs and fixtures...

Crazy as it sounds, turning them on brings a smile to my face after dealing with 1960 era 4' and 8' T12 fixtures.

Me neither. My lights are 16’ above shop floor and there’s nothing about a 14’ step ladder I like. I’ll worry about them in 50,000 hours.
