Seems like the site is down last night and still tonight. Hacked? Server blew up? Or???

It's been down for a couple days. I haven't been officially told why yet.

But if I find out tomorrow I'll let you know.

Best guess is a Russian/North Korean plot to wreck all that's good and pure in the world... ;)

Yeah -Pretty weird,

there was a mention a day or two ago about some members had been locked out and that the problem was fixed.

Guess Not,.

Any news?

Are you a moderator over there?

That's unusual for a site to be down this long. One try, I saw something like "We're working on it". Haven't seen that again.

They must have a heck of a mess to take this long getting it running again.

Over on Garage Journal there's a post saying it's being discussed elsewhere on Garage Journal, and a link to that discussion, but apparently you have to be a member there to see that thread.

I am a moderator there, I asked another mod too and he still hasn't heard anything either.

...sucks for us weld addicts ;)

That happened to me in December, MinnesotaDaveChalme had to fix it for me.:thumbsup:

That happened to several people when the passwords all had to be updated - myself included.

Following the "lost password" link allowed for the update for most people.

But that won't help you until after the website is back of course.

Also, the other mod can re-set your account on his end. Let me know if you end up needing that done.

Well we had to make sure you got on - always need some bridge pics :D
You like bridge pictures? You can't really see me, but I was standing where the red arrow is pointing. When the tugs brought the last pontoon in Lake Washington.

Impressive as always SA!
Thanks!
I worked on both of those floating bridges. Little over 4-years. That picture is the LVM replacement bridge. I was the rigging foreman setting the anchors. The square anchors weighed 300-tons. We stacked them 5-high on the lake bottom. The wing anchors, jetted 18-feet in to the lake bottom. They weighed 90-tons.

Yes, Welding Web has some very talented, and helpful welders! Also, great moderators, they don't let things get out of hand, before putting a stop to it.:thumbsup:
