good morning all.
Up early, up part of night, cramps, charley horses, aches and pains from doing way too much yesterday. Trying to beat today's rains, once the phd got put on the Kubota, I drilled all the holes for the remaining trees and planted every single one of them, coming in at 6pm. I felt good then getting all that done but knew I wouldn't feel good later. All's well as long as I'm still moving... but today for sure I cool it. 30 trees planted in three days is clearly my limit. And that's all for tree planting for awhle...now it's tiny little seedlings and a lot of dibbling.

I got an email from new owners of my rv saying they were having a newbie good time at the rv campground, the sun was out, my brownies I made for them delicious and life was good. Ok, now I stop worrying about them.

Jay, not an easy topic for discussion, particularly in this very unenlightened state....but you refer to THC, don't you mean CBD? The best medical alternative I found was 90/10 CBD/THC. Still illegal due to that 10 percent and I'm not spending time with Bubba in a cell at this point in my life.
For your sake, I hope your state is more enlightened. This is medicine not recreation at all.

52 and a significant amount of rain all day and night, more to come...with temps rising to 71. It is April, right? Planning to let the woodstove go out.

Will probably go back to the gym again today, since most outside activity here will be rained out. We've been enjoying watching the Olympics, so a rainy day is a good match for that, too. Also, will try to finish taxes today.

David, sorry you got sick on your trip. I know your dogs are glad you're home.

Forgot to mention, amazing 67 degrees out now, about the high of the day but the rain system coming up from the South/West is bringing lots of nice warmth with it. Likely to disappear but nice while it's here.

I have been sliding around more than usual in the mud this morning, trying and only just succeeding to stay upright while being jostled by the sheep. They have been getting extra rations by the way of feed pellets for the last few days and now come running as fast as heavily pregnant ewes can go - which is surprisingly fast down hill. Time to move the feeding troughs up to some dry ground - if only such a thing existed.

We were fortunate to be invited to the birthday party of a local dairy farmer yesterday. I have been aware for a few years that my hearing is failing and it was never more apparent than last night when I was often only able to make out a few words from each sentence. Voices seemed plenty loud enough, it was my inability to make them out against the sound of lots of people talking at the same time that was my problem. This morning the every present background hiss is louder than ever, as if my brain hasn't yet found a way to turn down the sensitivity setting dial. I guess it's all part of the fun of getting older

Drew, sound like your RV went to a good home if they went to the trouble of sending you a thank you email.

Picked up some nice sweaters and long sleeve shirts yesterday on 75 percent off sale will be good next year and even some this year. Still feeling better watching what I eat and no diet soft drinks.

Good morning all, 50 this morning going to 64 and rain. Weather station says we got 1.15". Eric last night I noticed that the ground here was just starting to feel soft in the grass. We need it and it is a good feel even though I only have a lawn now. Guess once a farmer always a farmer. Plan to take it easy today but we will see.

Jbrumburg, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. Enjoy home. Just doing what comes, one day at a time.

12 below zero going to a high of 18 Wind E 7 mph and snow in the forecast for today and tonight.

I am ready for it. Driveway scraped down to the ice and tractor fueled and greased.

I took a peek at the weather on Friday evening for Toronto and by the time this system passes they could get 10". That is a good thing, keep those city idiots down there.

First cup of coffee is poured. 21° with snow this morning. Heading to 27° with a few more inches of snow throughout the day. NASCAR is back on TV today. Going to be a relaxing day in the house today. Get the popcorn popper out and make a batch for the dog and me.

Jay, I seem to learn a new word every time you post. :thumbsup: Today asymptomatic. "If you're asymptomatic, you don't show any signs of being sick". In my mothers case I could tell when she had a UTI. But most others could not. Hope ED's Mom get's better soon whatever she has.

Eric, it's getting to the point where my hearing is stopping me from understanding my wife's speech. I have to hit the mute button in order to understand the simplest words. Hearing aid are on my list of things to get done. But at this time I have moved Cataract surgery and hearing aids on the bottom of the list. :ashamed:

Love my new weather station, lying in bed and monitoring it on my phone. 60° now going to 70 today. Love it! We only got about 1/4 of rain here so far, but we’ve been very wet since December.
Hopefully this warm damp weather will break the flu cycle around here.
