In the same vein, if you ever call in a car that is driving foolishly, mention that it is driving erratically and you are concerned that the driver may be under the influence. In NY at least, that gives a officer reasonable cause to pull a car over without seeing them tailgate, or otherwise drive foolishly.


So, you wouldnt have a problem sleeping if you turned on the news after seeing that truck and watching the lead story be about someone who got killed or maimed because that skidsteer fell off of the trailer and landed on the hood of their car 15 minutes after you saw it?

The Officer who does respond would rather you called before the skidsteer or any other piece of equipment slides off a trailer and onto a car or pedestrian.

From what I've seen, that's what police do. Lie to get the results they want.

Are you saying that theskidsteer isn't sliding at all on the trailer, not even 1 inch? I would probably phrase it that the skidsteer was "not chained down or otherwise secured and free to slide around on the trailer, or even slide off of the trailer"

That's not what I'm saying at all, factual reports get convictions.
If you have to testify on an incident that you reported and ther is inconsistencies when compared the initial report it hurts the case or worse gets the offender off because of it.

I don't know of any officer that ask someone to knowingly provide a false report.
