The B2650 count down has begun!

Having two previous Kubota CUT and SCUT, it makes sense to me that the MMM should be able to be held up out of the way when using the FEL or the 3 point. The hardware to hold the MMM in the up position is present only on the left side as shown in my pic. The right side has no such hardware.....I had removed that little "rue ring cotter pin" thingy and put a generous size plain cotter pin in its place on that left side.

In practice, I usually remove the MMM when using the FEL or 3 point for any major tasks.

I guess the dealer mechanic did not install the hardware on the right side....just like he did not install the Bucket Level Indicator connection to the bucket ( see post #116 & 126. it also appears that there are some missing bolts in the FEL frame. Geeze, it looks like the dealer will have to come back AGAIN to fix it right.

You are right. There should be one on each side to hold the arms up. When you put the mmm on, rotate the brackets back on the pin and secure with the clip so when you raise the mmm all the way up they dont hit and get bent. I also take the mmm off when doing loader work and use my ballast box, or when I use my 3pt for implements.

Hey Dan. When I first posted pics of my toolbox on the other tractor site, I couldnt believe the response. I was not looking to make and sell them. I was just showing my project. I had so many people that wanted them, and being retired, decided to make some more. Spent the entire winter fabbing them up to keep up. It was a good way to spend the winter in the shop. I still have materials to make a few more. If you are interested, let me know.

Dealer delivered the tractor. Still waiting on the bigger tires. But with 10 of snow in the forecast he knew I wanted it.

Got the snow plow on. Still hasn稚 been painted but will have to go to work in primer.

I got a triaxle load of foundation delivered today and got to use the B2650 to push it over my hill. Super awesome! I know Jeff says that you need a 50% weight increase to notice a "wow" difference in performance, but no... Comparing the BX25, Three B2650 is such an amazing upgrade that it's not even fair to try to compare.

Congrats on finally getting your tractor Dan. I am sure it must feel good. How does you third function seem to work?

3rd function works great. But not with the plow angle cylinder. I need a hydraulic flow restrictor BAD.
The angle cylinder is 1.5” bore and 6” stroke. When you bump the third function the plow moves so
Fast it throws the tractor around lol. Going to get a 3000 psi ball valve from work tomorrow to restrict the flow. Unless my local hydraulic shop has them available. Can’t wait to get my bigger tires and get them filled. I am going to put my rear weight on tomorrow. Can’t get any traction lol.

I definitely need some weight. I am going to put my 750lbs weight on the 3pt when I am done with work today. I hope the other tires show up soon so I can get them swapped out and filled.

It is a 7.5’ Myers plow off of a truck. I shortened the frame as much as I could and added a new hydraulic angle cylinder (setup differently) to get the plow as close to the loader frame as possible. I really wish I would have waited to modify the mount until I actually had the tractor. It works. But Sunday I am probably going to cut a lot of it apart and make some adjustments and re weld it back together. Glad it was still in primer and never got painted.

Hey Dan. I did alot of experimenting with ballast weight as well, and you will find that 750lbs of ballast will be pretty close for max loader work. Will sure put you in the ball park. I am right around 700lbs. I could maybe use another 100lbs when doing really heavy loader work.

Congrats. We bought our Mazda3 from the Mazda place in Butler. Rented an Elantra and drove 6 hours up there, dropped off the Elantra, picked up the Maz and then drove back in the same day. Baglier Motors is THE BEST auto dealership I've ever bought a new car from. That was the closest we could find one with 6M that has the equipment, interior, etc. we wanted.

Didn't notice where the Kubota dealership was.

There is actually a half mile or so that has Kubota, MF, Mahindra and a couple others. It's the tractor strip! There are also 2 trailer dealers right there.

I have a 30 gallon barrel filled with concrete. I can’t remember how many bags of concrete went in it. But I believe it’s around 700lbs.

Speaking of "The B2650 count down...etc", my new Kubota has not been anywhere but to the dealer and back.

Checking it over, cleaning the shop dirt/rain dirt etc, fixing little things and mis-assembled parts has put 3.9 hours on it. While replacing two of the missing loader frame bolts, I found two more missing bolt holes that are to support the MMM frame. Geeze.....I'll be expert at B2650 assembly by the time I actually use it.

One thing that I do on any new motor is idle it for a few minutes, then rev it up/down for a few minutes or so, then idle it and shut it off and let it get back to ambient temp (about 25 deg in my garage. Since it has spent most of the 3.9 hours in my garage, i've done this about 3-4 times. It's an old wives tales about "setting the rings".

As to ballast, I've found that about 400 lbs (a Box Blade) is all that I have ever needed on the B2620 for moving tons of gravel.....The B2620 will lift nearly as much as the B2650.....just saying'.

Hey Mike. Just letting you know how I arrived at the weight I did for the B2650. As a retired equipment operator I have been on all types of equipment and lifted alot of heavy things, including things I probably shouldnt have in the moment of getting things done on a job, with all types of equipment and have a good sense when a piece of equipment feels stable. I fabbed up my ballast box that weighs 150 lbs. I bought 10 pieces of rail road track that weigh 100lbs a piece. I also know that the rule of thumb is ballast should be about 70% of the weight the loader can lift. So I had an idea where I would probably end up and started testing. I started with the ballast box and 3 pieces of track =450lbs. I got a full heaped bucket of dirt in my 60" bucket. Drove around my back property which has some uneven areas and ran the bucket up and down 3-4 ft. Was not real stable. I added another and tried the same thing. Ended up adding 2 more pieces of track =650 lbs total weight, before it felt pretty stable. That is where I left it for what I do. If I was doing alot of heavy lifting I would put another 100 lbs on. Thats what it takes for the machine for max loader work. With 60" bucket. Just to clarify, this is without the rear tires being loaded as I use my tractor and mmm to mow my yard and didnt want the weight for early spring when it is a little soft. For me that is why I like a dedicated ballast box so I always have proper ballast for any situation to lift things. Plus it is compact and doesnt stick out real far. There arent too many implements for our tractor that have enough weight for every situation. Not saying some people cant get away with just using an impilment, but for me, I would rather be safe than sorry.

I'm sad that your having issues with your Dealership workmanship. I'm at 16.5 glorious hours so far. Luckily, my dealership didn't screw up much while putting mine together. That sucks dude.

Today I did out 3 large shrubs, used the thumb and hailed it all to a burn pile. This was at my sister in laws house, I drove the tractor 2 miles to her place at 9am to do that.

Had 2 Triaxle loads of concrete and stone dropped in my driveway and pushed it all over the hill. Washed the tractor and then washed my Ram Rebel.

I've got at least one more triaxle load coming today, and then a couple more on Monday.

So far I'm grinning eat to ear with my B2650. I love this beast! This is everything that I had hoped my BX would be... But wasn't. Worth the money!
