Needless to say the checks will be in bank tomorrow afternoon.
And I will double check the air in the tires for him. After that, my job is to wave.
YupMeet him at his bank and have the check made out to you. That way you know it's a real check, and the bank won't write it if he doesn't have sufficient funds to cover it. Otherwise, he's got your trailer and there's a chance you've got a worthless piece of paper...
So he tried to get a 7 day "test drive"?just about had a heart attack when buyer now sends me a bill of sale, a template he had..., which would have given him a 7 day free look with him driving off with the trailer.
Oh no, no no no. After a brief discussion of contract law, we agreed he would just bring me all the money and then I would sign the title and the deal was done. No 7 day anything, as is where is. He can bring a mechanic in if he wants but once I sign that title it's his rv.
this is where coming from a family of contract lawyers really helps.
ok, now off to plant some trees
And now is he going to bring you all the money or just a check that might or might not clear?
I agree with RNG, get the certified bank check at his bank or a money order.
