Good morning everyone, just woke up to Thunder and heavy rain. The temperature dropped from 72 yesterday to currently 43 and 36 at the ranch. Not looking to driving to work today with this cold rain but oh well I will survive. I am looking forward to the start of the Houston Rodeo in a few weeks. Means spring is right around the corner.

Drinking second cup of coffee. 15ｰ with snow this morning. Heading to 22ｰ with snow until afternoon. Not a good day at doctors office. Data collected for wife's sleep test was lost. Good news is she is going to spend a night at their sleep center next week. She needs some personal help to get this done. Great doctor who is very a where of what my wife is dealing with. Going to have to work on cleaning snow off walkway and driveway. Got my 12 volt Pulse Charger yesterday. Going to hook it up to tractor.

Drew, as a RV owner I kind of agree with new owner of RV. Go out and use it. Bought my MH in AZ and drove it over 2000 miles home. Leaner more on the trip then any other time while owning it. When I sold my RV. Buyer brought a Bank Check. My credit union had no problem with depositing into my account. After calling buyers bank to verify check. Never heard of a bank check before.

Irv, good idea on hoisting can up with a lift. I have a engine hoist that should work.

Ed, you have a tough job ahead. Dealing with someone that is developing Dementia will be tough for all evolved. My mothers started with a UTI and got worse with every UTI after that. Every time she had a UTI you would see a big personalty change until the UTI was cured. Then back to normal. You may want to have her checked if she is having personalty changes. Prayers for your mother, you and your family.

Looks like spring is here early this year, temps in 40-50s with lows in 30s, maybe dipping into 20s. We could still get some snow, but it would likely melt off in a day or two.

Lots going on with folks, praying for healing and health for all. Grand daughter just finally got over a nasty double ear infection. She has been fighting it for a couple months now, with 3 different courses of medicine. The second one was awful, she fought taking it, even when mixed in yogurt as dr suggested. Completely different kid now (back to herself, but even happier)..

Work is turning ugly, lots of layoffs as business transitions. Lots of experience going out door, those of us left are taking are 2-3 times workload, much of it just won't get done. It made my wife and I start looking at where we stand financially, are we ready for retirement, etc. Probably should have been working on it the last few years, but life happens. Some good discussions on this forum about retirement.

Good morning to all! 25* here this morning, going to a high of 56. Was outside most of the day yesterday, temp dropped from about 63 to about 40 in a couple of hours. The wind initially started w/ 15 mph 'breezes' but got up to about 25 continuous, 35-40 gusts. Not pleasant. Got real cloudy, could see snow coming down on the mountain, none here just about a mile away. Wind must have blown it away!

Went to the lumber yard and got some more block for a project. I had picked up what I thought was the correct amount a couple weeks ago, don't know I got the number of block wrong, but I only had 1/2 of the number needed. Must not have counted right the first time.

Got some of the landscape zones watered, will finish the rest today. Nice having drip irrigation, turn on a zone, let it go for an hour or 2 depending on size, switch it to the next, keep going. Have 10 zones total. Should be able to get the rest done today. Figured I better give them some water, it's been really dry. Wish I could get some of the moisture from you guys, be it snow or rain, not all of it, just some. You guys have had it hard this year!

Got the taxes done. Disappointing! Only got about 1/2 back that I did last year! I didn't change anything, but now I couldn't deduct this or that....All the talk about getting a 'bigger paycheck'....BS!!, got about $20 more... That will go real far. Wifey says "don't worry about it, at least we didn't have to pay", sorry they got $15,000 of my hard earned money, now they are just playing with the numbers and sneaking out more.

Gonna go play outside again today, wait, gotta grind up 35 lbs of brisket first, then go play. Wifey gonna make a good supper..

Looks like 20* for the low this morning, it made it up 41* for the high yesterday. We might have more sun today then we've seen in almost a week. But it still only getting up into the low 40''s for the high.

Talked to the neighbor yesterday he is still at his sister house. He will be there for a few weeks but he sounded good. And he is optimistic about all of this.

PJSprog... Have you seen the move Quigley Down Under ? The cartridge is the same as that one, my rile is a little bit different than his. It doesn't kick as much as you would think about like 30-06.

How did your tax amount compare to last yr? Gettting less back means you just didn't loan the govt as much.

I havent done my taxes, are the new deduction changes in effect for 2017 taxes? I thought they just went in effect for next yrs 2018 calculations.
