Are you getting spacers behind the 15" wide as well, or just doing the rims and tires? I did the spacers, my sidewall to sidewall width is 60.5".

I did check total length of the B2650, bucket flat and bucket rolled in tight.View attachment 537914View attachment 537915

Perfect. I was going to ask for this measurement, but you beat me to it!

I'm trying to determine if I can finagle a B2650+BH77 w/standard R4's (most likely) into my basement garage. I should be good on length, but I'm concerned about my 7' garage door. The plan is to fold the ROPS and I'm okay with that, but I'm worried I might have to also extend the backhoe to gain clearance while passing under the door and opener. For reference, how tall is the garage door in your videos?

Thanks.

I'll have to actually measure my garage door opening for you but I know I only clear by about 3 to 4 in..

I can also tell you that if you kick the backhoe completely sideways 90 degrees to the Tractor you can compress to an overall length of 14 ft 7 in. 3663.jpeg3667.jpeg

Awesome.
I picked up a snow plow off of a pickup truck for 40$

I cut the plow frame to get it as close as I could to the loader frame and made a skid steer quick attach adapter plate. Changed how the hydraulic cylinder rotated the blade.

Hopefully have it painted and ready to go by the weekend. Just will be needing the tractor at that point. LOL

Dan,

Do you need me to go out and measure my doors now, or just get it the next time I'm outside? I'm inside and feeling lazy... But if you need it, I'll go down there. I have 3 garages under the house facing the rear woods as level 1, another layer of 4 garages over that that face the side as level 2 where the driveway comes in, then above that is the first floor of the house.

I live on a hill side, so we used garages and extra courses of block to jack the house up so that the front face is higher towards the street. So the tractor is 2 floors down and out back.... And I'm cold and lazy. If we didn't do this, you'd drive past and see shingles

Note that with a garage door opener your doors typically go up higher, my upper level has openers and they open above the doorway opening. The lower garages are manual, they roll back a few inches from totally open. I have to be really careful pulling out of those lower garages, I've already messed up and pulled some of the threshold rubber off of the door edge.

Rock crawler,
All 9’ doors here.. so I should be good. When I had my bx I always left the ROPS down anyway. That will be the highest point for me since I never got the backhoe. I’m hoping to find one in a year or two somebody got and never used and get it for half price... lol

Got the snow plow and bracket sand blasted tonight. Will go into primer tomorrow. Hopefully paint this weekend. Maybe the tractor will even show up at the dealer on Friday. I hope the tires ship tomorrow. It will kill me even more if the tractor is assembled ready to go sitting on jack stands waiting for rims and tires...

9' doors? Why would you ever put the ROPS down if you 108' tall openings? You could drive Bigfoot into those garages

Mine with cab fits under a 7'6" high door, but just makes it. You should be fine with 9' doors.

Hey Phil, how is the hydro
Noise and everything in your cab tractor?

Some days I kick myself for not ordering one. But for what I’m going to do with the tractor I think it would be in the way more than anything

RC, with yor backhoe turned sideways, how wide are you? I am lookin at a B26 and need to haul it on 16ft trailer. I hope I can balance it length wise, maybe put bucket in pickup bed. And twist the backhoe. Inside of trailer between sides is about 80". Thanks, Jon

Jon,

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that you would want the distance from centerline to the swung backhoe bucket? I can't imagine that you would haul the machine with the entire machine moved to the extreme left on the trailer and the backhoe swung to the extreme right? I can get you both total width and centerline to outside of backhoe, that way you can ponder it.... But I think that you want the machine at least reasonably close to centered left/right over the axles so that the load is more stable?

I think centered load would be best, forward/back and side to side, along with proper tongue weight. However, if swinging the backhoe over to one side would allow me to get the B26 home safely from the dealer on my trailer that would be great. Dealer says I should be able to load it on a 16ft trailer, but he has not seen the trailer. If I can not load safely, he would have to deliver it. Thanks, Jon

I love it for what I do. Snowblowing ,plowing and a little field mowing.
The hydro is great, but gets noisy when in the higher ranges. I just turn up the radio.Lol. The cab with heat and air is wonderful!
You can hear the noise in this clip.

Do you wear any hearing protection in the cab tractors? I know I do, but was wondering what others do. Jon

Is a cab tractor louder than an open platform? I would call my open platform quiet compared to my buzzy BX. No hearing protection for sure. I'm guessing that the cab may trap/contain more of the sound waves?

Dad always wore ear protection on his soft sided JD 1070, especially running the rear blower for an hour or so at a time. So I just got in the same habit with my soft cabbed BX2230.

While snowblowing a doctor's drive, he offered me a pair of ear muff protectors. I just showed him my foam ear plugs and he was happy. Jon

That was filmed at half throttle. The engine was still cold. I believe it was only 7or8 degrees that day. I don't but should wear hearing protection. It can get really bad. I already have 60-40 loss in both ears.

I finally decided to get risky and take it into the woods in the snow so that I could test the backhoe. Coming from a BX in which the backhoe on that machine was very disappointing. So this is what I will say I noticed right off the bat with the B2650 backhoe that is part number BH77. The BH77 curl force is insane compared to the BX. The BH77 outermost boom pulling that bucket towards you is also insanely powerful compared to the BX. No the first boom off of your pivot point does not have quite as much raw power as I expected it to have. I can use it to pull the front bucket and wheels off of the ground but it is a slow steady pull lifting the front end. On my BX with the hydraulic system turned up, I was able to snap the front end into the air almost Dangerously. With this b2650 and the stock Hydraulics I would say that it's likely much saferand, and also probably overall much more powerful, but with a much heavier machine. The bottom line is that I am able to dig much more much faster with the BH77, and there is no doubt that I can curl through and rip roots with the BH77 that the Kubota BX series just stood no chance of doing.IMG_20180202_100914504_HDR.jpgIMG_20180202_100930562_HDR.jpgIMG_20180202_101620214_HDR.jpgIMG_20180202_101649040.jpg

Dan,

Sean just quoted me at $525 installed for the kit that is now a 90 amp alternator. I would discuss this with your dealer while your waiting a week... If your like me and you plan to light up the night... 14.5 amps is a mean joke.
