RS wife finds you fish tank project interesting and I need to keep her updated on your project she is anxious to see finished project photos.

I hope to get the lumber cut for the first set of racks and the stand for the big display tank in the next couple of days during our upcoming "heat wave" ...

After that, it will all be inside work ... and hopefully things will progress fairly quickly.

I did have yo tell her Not to get any Ideas, she has all the fish she needs in the lake.

Kitchen taps got replaced and I got to read the Moen guarantee. As long as I own the house they were installed in I get free cartridges. According to the guarantee, it doesn't matter if I install them or get a plumber to do it. With the exception of the laundry taps the whole house is Moen.

I put Moen faucets in the last house. Cost a small fortune. Two years later one of the bathroom faucets started leaking. Took the cartridge down to the local hardware store and they couldn't match it. Called Moen, found out about their "guarantee". Yeah, send us the cartridge we'll send you a free replacement. :shocked: Who wants to wait two weeks to fix a leaky faucet? Found a new cartridge at the local plumbing supply (they were very proud of it from the price they charged), and sent the old cartridge back to Moen. I had to pay postage. Three weeks later I had a new cartridge in my hand. Three weeks! The next year, the cartridge in the kitchen faucet went out. Same deal, down to the plumbing supply for a new one (even bigger price), three weeks later I had a replacement from Moen. I was replacing cartridges every two or three years on those faucets for the rest of the time I had that house. No signs of hard water, all plastic pipes, so it wasn't corrosion. Only thing left was poor design or bad materials. No more Moen for me. Replaced all the faucets here in 2010 when I moved in, and so far (fingers crossed), no problems. And the place does have very hard water, especially when the softener runs out of salt. Put in new Deltas. I'm sold...

Another almost summer day. Got insulation bought and installed. Infrared temperature says it’s fixed.
Got chipper hooked to tractor. After warming it up I ran some limbs threw it. Works great. No more limbs being grabbed out of my hands while feeding them into chipper. View attachment 535079

Weather station up and running took long enough

It got above freezing for about 30 minutes before the clouds rolled in, the wind started picking up, and the temperatures started dropping as the weather front moved in.

The roof is now shoveled off, the 5" ice dam around the stovepipe flashing has been removed. The "leak" is gone. If it ever gets warm enough and stays dry long enough I will hopefully find a better way to seal that problem area.

My Davis Pro weather station DOA's years ago and I replaced it with a much cheaper Oregon Scientific WMR200 that fell apart from UV degradation and the anemometer and temperature/hydrometer sending units, still working, are in separate locations. I know when it gets really windy when the T/H sending unit starts rolling with the prevailing wind gusts. One Winter I lost it in the snow during a nor'easter/coastal storm. It still kept sending data.

One of these days I will set up a decent weather station again. I even have the "approval" from the "CFO."
