The WICKED Root & Debris GRAPPLE!!!!!!!

Thank you Obi Wan Kanobi! The dream still lives. I’ve almost saved enough to order the grapple and valve. As well as my brush mower. I want to order it all at once.

Question that video shows a dual lid the one that best matches the tractor is the single lid. Anyone have experience with that setup? If so how does it work for you? What’s the biggest limitation?

Wow that is impressive!
Looks like the spacing and rectangular tines on the Wicked grapple works very well especially with Roger at the wheel:thumbsup:

The WICKED Root & Debris GRAPPLE!!!!!!!

I'd got pretty good at moving firewood with a grapple. Narrow spacing of the tines was definitely better. I was working off concrete and that also helped. I've watched a guy do it with a skid steer bucket and it worked a lot better than a tractor bucket. I've wanted to build a bucket that was about 4 feet deep but steel was cost prohibitive.

What is the main use for your grapple?

Xfaxman, Sorry for not replying it appears I am not being notified that I have had a response to a post. Another thing to look into.

Primarily I want to move tree branches that I have limbed from trees that I have fallen with chainsaw. I have 3 large piles of branches 10" and less that I limbed 2 years ago so they are well dry and are now difficult to remove from pile by hand. Also to move the trunks of the trees. I can't burn in my area. They run from 32" to 18' diameter a few bigger I would cut them to a length of aprox 16' or shorter if need be so I can move them to a central spot to chip & split.

I also have a rock pile that I would like to move Stones from to big to pick up to alot of 18" to 12" and a few piles of smaller stones the smallest being 4 to 2 inch these I may have to just manually toss in to tractor bucket to move. I forget if I said my tractor I want to use with this grapple my Kubota M5140 52hp wt with ballast I estimate a bit over 10,000 lbs. Loader is an LA1153 it appears lift capacity to 59 inches is 2646 lbs Thanks Bill

Why is it so expensive? Your tractor can only lift about 2500 pounds. I think you should look at what EA is offering.

EricTheOracle, I was not notified of post I will take another look at EA. Thanks

No problem.

For your uses either style will work, but the L bottom will pick up more branches from the pile.

For the rocks, EA has some L bottom models with removable inserts that are added between the bottom tines, that would work well for the smaller rocks.

I bought an EA 73” Single lid Wicked Grapple for Utility Tractors, specifically for moving trimmed tree branches and brush. It’s 42 1/2” jaw opening works very well for that purpose. It’s been used on our LS XR4046HC 46 HP tractor. We’re in process of upgrading that Tractor to a new LS XR4155HC which has 55 HP.

IMHO this Grapple would serve you very well.

We also have an HD 84” Blue Diamond dual lid grapple installed, almost permanently, on our 96 HP New Holland TL100A. It’s primary use is pushing over dead trees and moving to burn piles.

Can’t help on your rocks as we have none here.

The only thing better than having a grapple........ is having two.

Eric and I don't often agree but we do in this case. That Anbo grapple is aimed at the commercial skidsteer market IMO. A Kubota M5140 doesn't have a super strong loader and would use the same class grapple as Eric and I own and use on similar size tractors with 2700lb lift capacity FELs.

Island Tractor & Eric, When I get a chance I should place some tractor ballast I have laying around and see just how much it can lift As I see Different data and have seen complaints about it will not lift could have just been a relief valve problem. Till then I will assume it will lift a little over 2500. What grapples do you two have ? I certainly don't want to spend more $ than I need & I would like to keep the grapple weight down it I can. Thanks for the reply

That grapple will do great. Post some pictures when you get it. Good choice.

Well, my 55" single lid came in today!!! Very happy! It works so good. Can't wait to get more seat time with it!

Here's my terrible night time pictures, I'll get more as I use it!
