was supposed to go down town and buy a bottle of wine to take to my brother's tomorrow but just came in after five hours of cutting brush and I'm too tired, young guys just wore me out. 4 trailer loads of brush cut, man cage on FEL worked wonderfully.

I don't know if I will be able to trust Costco's reviews. After reviewing the mixer and telling exactly what happened they sent me an email saying that my review did not meet the guidelines for posting. I was very polite and even gave it a 2star, but they said it: "contains legally sensitive content". What??? I guess I try to rewrite the review and say "I returned it - just guess why".

The one I bought at Costco was even a higher wattage and still was struggling to knead dough, so I'm kind of "burned" :fire: out on getting another. It looks like I'll have to keep my eyes open for an Electrolux.

I don't remember what we paid several years ago, but it was a "refurbished" model from Kitchen Collection and it never gave us any trouble, even kneading bread. I see on their website that they have a large number of "refurbished" models now and I think all of them at $199.97 each.

Don, we bought a Kitchenaid profession model a few years ago. It has Bowl lift instead of tilting head and a 525 watt motor. It doesn’t even get warm when kneading bread dough. I think most of the Tilt Head models are about 325 watt motors. I’m guessing it’s about 12 years old. I was gifted a nice bread machine a few years ago which makes bread making so easy.

IMHO, I think the $199 mixers will probably serve you well for everything but the dough kneading which is probably more load than the smaller motors are going to like.

I saw one the other day whilst shredding, didn't know we had one on the property. Too hot for me too. We had one in the back yard that voluntarily grew and I'll bet almost every kid in the neighborhood had to run home after trying one. They are just soooo red and tempting.

Now we know the Costco reviews aren't worth the electrons they use.

Drew, you might just have one of the nicest mowers in the county. (But you already did have a really nice one). Did you get the 4WD? Is the 4WD helpful and is it durable?

Off tomorrow, maybe I can finally go get the flu shot. There is a cold/sinus bug hitting many around here.

Maybe I can get a tire patch/plug to repair the tractor's flat...ugggh. SMH.

The KA from costco was 590 watts, lift bowl. On some other sites I read some other reviewers were also having problems with kneading bread but people with the older KAs did not. I wonder what changed? Did your dough attachment have a warning saying not to use any speed higher than 2?

We are just getting over the cold/sinus/bronchitis thingy. Only 2 days of fever but 10 days of coughing.
Over at Mom's her tractor front tire has a flat also. It's the same tire that I replaced the spindle 2 years ago so maybe the wheel will come off easy.
