Creep is a third position on the hi/low range leveler, very easy to use. I have a 72" Bushhog root-tiller that is a older heavy duty unit. My ground in heavy compacted clay that first pulled a chisel plow across then tilled. Lots of rock, broken bricks, and shale hunks scattered about. Traveling really slow let me raise the tiller when striking a object.

Well luckily we don't have rocks in the soil in the deep south where I live, thank goodness!

I have considered adding creep to my tractor for snow blowing, you know that white stuff you see on the news sometimes? :D
It is a dealer installed option.

Creep would work great for blowing heavy snow. I use. 25 hp grasshopper mower with 60" blower.
It will handle 8-12" no issues as long a stake it slow.
Would be really fun to mount a 84" rear mount blower on the tractor.

Someone in the owning/operating forum posted a how-to install on this kit. As I recall, it requires draining all the hydro fluid, which is substantial on this tractor. Other than that, it read like it was a piece of cake.

Since my dealer has mine this week to install the 3rd function kit that arrived late, I just had them go ahead and order the kit and install it there. Was $850 or so installed. I think it will be a nice addition for several of my uses.

Please reply with your thoughts on the creeper kit

probably stating the obvious... unless the creeper gear design has changed, kubota clearly states that the creeper use is designed for light use (drilling, spreading, etc) and not for use as heavy soil engagement or fel use that builds up gear stress. so i'd be leery of heavy plowing or fel excavation using the creeper gears. please correct me if this is not so.... just a precaution

I have no plans of doing anything stressful in creep speed, mainly just for mowing road and trail sides with my Lane Shark, since 1L is too fast for really thick areas. The Kubota disclaimer in the OM has been hashed over a good bit also and I have yet to find one instance of "improper use" breaking anything.
