Do you shake your chainsaw?

Some of the Stihls I have owned, I have not shaken but thrown as far as I could after pulling my guts out trying to start them. In hind sight. Maybe just bad gas before stabilizers came to be.

How are you supposed to start a saw without shaking it? I do slosh the gas cans a couple times but mostly because it makes me feel better.

That's how I swim, I float to the bottom of the pool. LOL

I'm with others, I shake it when I mix it for a couple minutes, then that's it. I might give it a pump fake when I refill a couple days/weeks later, but other than that I let the saw vibration do a better job than I could. If it's old enough to separate it's old enough to pitch and mix a fresh gallon.

i remember in grade school health class we were told to shake to get rid of drips, and someone asked about the more than twice rule.

My Wife has her own chainsaw and wood chipper. I am Polite! She can shake anything she wants!
