I see lots of posts with live streaming links popping up. I have sense enough not to click on them but why are they there, isn't there a filter of some sort?

We're getting spammed. The filter is missing them somehow.

Just click on the exclamation mark in the triangle on the lower left and in the window that opens up put the word 'spam' and post it. The admins can look after it.

I'm trying to figure out why someone would take the time to register as a new user each time they want to post their drivel.

Perhaps it's auto-generated somehow?

It's computer based called "bots" .

That's why you have to type in the box because many older bots can't read the text but they have come up with smarter bots or semi human assisted bots.

They do thousands a day and make posts to get people to click the links. The links may be pay per click or someone may actually buy the products. Even one of a hundred thousand would be profitable if the bots can do millions a week.

If it looks weird, don't click it.

Reported a 'live streaming' SPAM posting just a few minutes ago.

First one in quite a long time and it was an initial posting.

They're BAAAAACK!

Yes. I have reported several, each dealing with (American) football. As we are still in the preseason of pro football, we may be in for more spam traffic as the college and regular pro seasons get here.

Understood, Steve. However if memory serves, we were also being inundated with spam links to Rugby Union games and, of course, International Test Cricket matches.

I know that there is an insatiable American appetite for Test Cricket.

We have a Lingerie Football League. Is there Lingerie Cricket?

Apparently so:

I'll only post this one photo... hope I don't get my wrist slapped.

I don't think we get Lingerie Cricket here in the States. Any chance of you recording some of the matches and sending the DVD to me?

Spammers keep getting smarter! Best thing to do is 1) don't reply and 2) report using the little triangle/exclamation point symbol to the left in the grey bar below the post.

I haven't been able to find any games coming up IOT record. Mind you, Cricket is a Summer sport and it's late Winter down here.

On a different note, I don't believe that a DVD from Aus would play on your player. Our standard is PAL (50hz refresh & more pixels) whereas yours is NTSC (60hz & less pixels). You might get the sound but the picture would be scrambled.

Rats. Perhaps one of the spammers will alert us to any streaming videos of Lingerie Cricket.
