The WICKED Root & Debris GRAPPLE!!!!!!!

I couldn't resist. I had to call today and upgrade my order to the dual lid 72" Wicked Root Grapple!!! Can't wait to hook it up and start the burn pile! I have been out cutting cedars out of the fences and just leaving them for the grapple!

You just wasted some $$$$ and cut your net lift capacity. Got yourself a less maneuverable tractor to boot. Why do Americans always assume bigger is better????

You should be ashamed of this post I.T.
Way to rain on someone's parade.

Pure disrespect, regardless of your opinion. We all have different uses and views on things, and out of the thousands of members here you are the one single most person who tirelessly preaches your opinion as the rule of god.

Frankly, if you consider that he will be using this in his demo work, it's actually hard to argue the fact that for his use a wider dual lid will undoubtedly be more productive.

Okay, get those fingers burning up that keyboard now!

You spend a lot of time on this thread trying to bulldog people on their choice of grapple. I figured you would try to bulldog me and sure enough you are. Good luck with that.

Have you considered that you may be hurting Ted's business and possibly keeping people from posting on this thread?

Ted and Travis, Thank you guys for a great product!!!! I can't wait to get my grapple in action! I have an idea for an accessory for the grapple. Once mine is here I'm going to build it and see how it works. You guys will get the first look or laugh as the case may be.

Come on! This isn't a six year old girl's birthday party. This is an open discussion forum. If I'm the only one who's willing to speak up then so be it. This isn't a snowflake safe zone.

If someone is a demo contractor then a heavy wide dual lid grapple makes sense. Those grapples were designed for skid steers after all. But if like the vast majority of grapple users on TBN he is a private individual who needs an all purpose grapple then he should step back and reconsider why he thinks "bigger is better". Buying a heavier wider grapple might be the right decision but it might also be wrong. The fact that he "upgraded" from his original order suggests that he wasn't so clear on what he needed to begin with. Ordering a 72 dual is like ordering a F350 dually, great if you truly need and will use that capability but just an expensive PITA if your uses include going to the supermarket or commuting or many other tasks that are better done with something more like a Tacoma.

EA makes great grapples. I'm less impressed with their customer education and advice. I appreciate that EA staff have kids to feed and mortgages but over selling is still a mistake. If they want to use this thread to sell grapples then they should be prepared to make the arguments. This is a discussion forum. Their feel good page is on Facebook.

And, as for those "thousands" of grapple owners who remain silent, tell us about why the half or more that own narrower single lid grapples are never complaining or trading up. Tell us why a fair number of wide grapple owners buy a second narrower lighter grapple. Tell us why the OP should pay an extra $500 for the privilege of less lift capacity, less digging power and less maneuverability.

All this time and now you're gonna break it to us like that? :hissyfit: :minniemouse: :cake: :present:

Ted and I see things very much alike when it comes to demanding quality and understanding our customer's wants and needs.
I have my preferences, but I'm always willing to listen to my customer. For his application and demographic, I'm confident he'll be just fine.

BTW, here's my grocery getter!
