Good morning!!!!

59°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 86° today.

Buckeyefarmer, my Wife had her first experience this past weekend with those new cans when she tried to fill the Husqy rider. Sprayed gasoline all over the thing because the can had pressurized as it warmed. She wanted to know who thought that was a good idea. She also asked, after finding that the old style are no longer available, how we can modify the new ones to actually work. Looking at a few options there ...
Exactly how mine happened, filling the husqvarna rider and the can had pressurized.

Speaking of gas cans . . . .
April 22-24 is emergency Tax Free Days for fuel containers, batteries, flashlights, hurricane shutters, emergency ladders, portable generators, etc. . .

A complete list can be found at the comptrollers website. Sorry for Texas only.

Have any pics to share, Wng? I've been making due with a 4-in-1 bucket, but I spend a lot more time loading it by hand than I do grabbing things sitting down on the tractor. Make and model number would be helpful, too.
I used it this afternoon and will post pix when I get a chance to upload. It's the 60 inch Wicked Grapple from Everything Attachments.

I also learned this morning that the county has been planning to give CalFire the boot for more than a year, which is probably why I haven't heard back from my county supervisor when I emailed him yesterday to voice my concerns. I did hear back from both my state representative and senator, who say they'll be looking into the situation. Apparently the county thinks that they can take the money that they're paying CalFire and divert it into their general fund and not replace the services that CalFire had been providing. It's all been done on the down low, but now that word is out they're gonna get an ear full at next Tuesday's meeting. At least they're gonna get an ear full from me. It was CalFire that put a fire engine in my driveway last Labor Day when the Saddle Fire swept through here, destroying two homes directly across the canyon from me and burning to within a couple hundred feet of my place. A study I read this morning sez we're getting $50 million in firefighting and emergency response resources for $15 million a year, better than any deal the county can come up with on their own with any savings from a DIY plan. Might be time for some house cleaning on the board of supervisors come next election time, too.

Happy Hump Day, everyone!

Not trying to step into politics, so let's call this a discussion about employment and jobs...Ever thought of running for this Supervisor seat? You seem to have a good handle on the local issues and a lot of ideas.
