I have a ground hog eating grass in front of my storage shed, with cats playing 5' away, they're roundly ignoring one another, never saw that before.

toppop sounds like you need a dog

44 and a high of 45, more rain in the forecast for today. It just started raining a few minutes ago. Winds calm.
April showers bring May flowers.

I have been looking for the past month for someone to come and fix my leaky steel roof. The husband of the bank clerk where I bank came over on Friday, went up on the roof (pitch 5/12), checked it all out and called me Saturday and told me the parts (2 roof flashings for the chimnies and new steel would cost about $300.oo and he would do it for the parts and $250.oo cash.I told him to go for it. I asked him if he wanted the money for the parts 'up front', he said no.
I was envisioning $1,000.oo+ and that money is earmarked for the roof. He says he will do it on the first dry weekend we get.
I might be able to get the conveyor, too.

For the past 3 days I have been wracking my pea sized brain trying to figure out how to get the updates for my Alpine radio in the Jeep updated. It came to me this morning......I have the company iphone with me. The phone is already paired to the radio.....Problem solved, sort of. The phone is already rooted through the PC, so I just need to download the updates to the phone and install them into the radio. Then delete them off the phone.

Eric,
how do you get away with owning a gun over there? Or are you one of the Queens game keepers, too?

Lenny, remind us, what are you teaching?

<snip> it.

I'm a construction manager for building wind turbine parks. I was an instructor at one time so with a few weeks between my next project startup, the schoolhouse asked me if I could give some of their on the road classes. I don't mind. It keeps my hand in so to speak.
I'm teaching theory and maintenance of how the wind turbine's conversion of energy works to be supplied to the utility company this week to some new hires.

And I know what you mean on the cordless batteries. I started with a makita 9.6 volt and thought that was hot long ago.
Now as I look at my cordless "station" in the shop, I see Makita and Milwaukee both in diff voltages and now a Dewalt charger to cram in there.

Poured second cup of coffee. 65° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 83° with mostly clear skies (Truth or Consequences, NM). Got every thing packed into motorhome and car yesterday. Just need to get slides in and move Motorhome to where I can hook up car and we are on the road. 356 miles today.
Happy Easter!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Morning All.

Have a safe trip Ron.

Happy Easter ALL!

Safe travels Ron. Tell Harv and Glenda Howdy from me and that I am praying for them.

Good deal on the roof patch L4N.

Lenny, that class sounds interesting. I got to tour the former Westinghouse, now TECO facility in Georgetown Tx. I think they were trying to get their feet in the pool back then concerning wind power.

Don, hope your company has a good time at your place. Dewberries abound. Was the motherload on your place?

Good Morning! 49F @ 7:00AM. Showers this morning, becoming a steady rain during the afternoon hours. High 54F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall near a half an inch.

Eric, it's too bad some pet owners don't learn to keep their animals under control until they kill or wound something and legal action is threatened. Hopefully, it's a lesson that sticks.

Managed to get a small pallet of wood moved into the garage, hopefully it's big enough to make it through the remainder of the heating season. Found two more broken pallets and ended up restacking a lot of wood to get them fixed. Also found several leaks in the tarp, and some moldy wood as a result. Where the tarp didn't leak, it held water quite well, and the mosquitos have been having a field day breeding in the pools. Went out at dusk last night to try to find a hummingbird feeder that seems to have blown away, and nearly got carried away myself by the hungry buggers. Didn't feel a single bite, but boy do I have the welts to show for it now.

Also got the down tree moved using the forks on the FEL. Turned out they work almost as well as the 4-in-1 bucket. And got the rest of the gravel scraped off the driveway. Hopefully the rain this week will settle the loose spots as I drive in and out with the truck.

I'll be joining Drew on the weeding crew this morning before the rains get here, and also put some time in with a hoe removing what's left after glyphosate did its thing a couple weeks ago.

Hope everyone enjoys a peaceful Easter.
