Just got 2 back-to-back nickel size hail storms complete with thunder and lighning...in February! Temps dropped 20 degrees.

I had just finished a 4 hour project grading a slope in front of the barn and spreading old rotten hay down. Now that the rain has stopped, plan to go see if any damage and how well the rain drained.

Was clearing brush when the storms came up. Got to the barn just as the rain started. Got some hail with it. Had to run to the house. Didn't last too long, we need rain, been dry.

Just had supper at a new diner in town. Has juke box in each booth. Pretty good food, lots of people.

Good evening all. 33F this morning, clear light breeze. Wind picked up later in the morning then dropped off early afternoon, clear skies, temp to 53F. Went for a ride with only 2 others today, usually 4-6 riders on a Saturday, but cold got most of then. Fire in the insert all day.

We have had a Tempur-pedic 8 years before we started to sink farther into it and it became too warm to sleep on. Tried the next firmer mattress but too firm, couldn't get comfy on it. Really would like to find a mattress that last 15-20 years. Her chiropractor doesn't think sleep number will provide adequate skeletal support, so that's out.

My wife has back problems, and the sleep number has helped a lot. I like it, we can each set our own le el on the bed. It also helps if we get the flu or a respiratory infection, we can sleep with our heads or feet raised. Pretty good for old folks!

Looking good. Thought of you when we went to the mountains Friday - went to a Mennonite country store...they had relocated out to the main highway a year ago and built a real nice and large metal building/roof. I parked in the back near where the petting zoo is located and was surprised to see the entire rear roof tops covered in solar panels.

Went out on the porch and got a surprise...32 degrees - cold for the first time in a while and should only get to 51. Only got 0.30 of rain from yesterday's storm but much needed, and looks like a possibly rainy week coming.

Buppies, we need one more snow!
