Now you won't have any excuse if you can't get a grip. ;)

60 right now...heading to 81 and overcast today.
Boy, I'll be glad when this week is done! Audit is going OK, but the 12 hour days, not counting the hour drive each way, is wearing me down..

72 high of 88 later slight chance of thunderstorms it is really getting dry no relief in sight. Those here who have allergies I feel your pain. Off to work again soon feast or famine as the old saying goes and now more than I can do

David have a wonderful trip sounds like great fun

Ed you have lots of neat toys time to put them to use

Kyle Mr Haynie of Green Acres comes to mind

Wngsprd you need a cab I think all that dust is not good

   / Good morning!!!! #49,304
Have some potential buyers looking at my TR6 hopefully that goes well

Walk behind sold need to modify my equipment list. I for one have too many toys need to thin the herd so to speak. Work is such now I leave at 7:00AM and get home at dark. This allows for no play time and all weekends for the month have involved cleaning out parents lake house no rest for weary. Buyers appraiser came out Monday waiting on report so his financing can be secured and closing date can be set

69 going to 90. A bit of fog and morning dew is all the moisture we've had for 13 days. Very dry after such a wet spring and summer. Stirred up a lot more dust mowing yesterday, so yes Buppies, a cab would be nice. Sounds like you need a vacation.

Saw a large number of tuliptrees (yellow poplar) turning yellow yesterday on my ride to the gym, and a few gum trees. They are usually the first to give up the chlorophyll. The goldenrod are blooming and adding a nice palette of color to the fields.

Found a stain on the bedroom closet ceiling...can't figure where the roof is leaking...definitely not right over the closet...must be running down from another place...tough puzzle. Wonder how the experts figure this out.

Ron, are you back 100% from your surgery? I still need to get it done.

Good morning! 72˚ heading to mid 90s. Partly cloudy.

Ed, I just had the 60k mile service done on the Forester, it is a big one you might want to sell before then. Mine still just burns a quart every 7.5K miles so it's still acceptable..

Thanks Don, interesting that you say this now, there is a 2016 prius v setting it the drive right now. They let me drive it home to see how it works. Trying to deside if we want the regular pruis or the larger prius V. The larger one only gets a combined gas millage of 42 but the pruis gets 50 or a little over. going in today and check it out. 0% financing through monday so will likely do something soon. Ed

Good morning all 68 going to 88, foggy with a 30% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Spent the day car shopping yesterday. Honda people were playing the "It's only $80 a month over what you said was the most you could do" game. Toyota people are good and I went home, 1 hour round trip, with 2 of their cars. Now we just need to decide what we want/need. The last car we bought from them we signed in a hospital room. They came to us and that helped a lot. Looks like it will either be the pruis or the bigger prius V. We are going to take the "boy" and when we take the pruis v back and try the pruis. Hope he can deal with the stress.

David, sounds like time to get out of Dodge-a-lulu.

Roy hope the audit continues to go well and that you can soon get a break.

Bippies, Yes I just need to figure out where to put them :).

Wngspd I have not seen but 2 or 3 leaves on a few trees turning and I thought we would get fall first.

Kile, would love to find that vice in my Christmas stocking and we have a mantle now to hang it from.

Have a great day Ed

Poured second cup of coffee. 70° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 77° with chance of morning rain. Ready to attack growth under pine trees. Headgear, leather gloves, heavy canvas jacket, boots and heavy levies. Just getting dressed should be enough for the day.
Wgnsprd, surgery has healed and I'm back to doing normal things. But, both my surgeries ended up with blood draining to the low point between the legs. Mostly back to normal there. Visiting a Endocrinologist for treatments.
Kyle, good tools.
Thomas, begging for millions sounds interesting when the money comes threw.
Buppies, you having a garage sale?
Txdon, butt calls are always interesting. I always lock my phone before putting it in my pocket. But still get those calls.
Drew, If the International is built anything like the 58 340 Farmal I had.

Not my tractor in picture. But close.
Should be a great tractor. I sold it in 2000. It's probably still going today.
Good Morning All.

Good morning! 73˚ heading to mid 90s, partly cloudy, slight chance of rain.

Ed, I have not check out the PriusV, the regular Prius we had before was reliable till we traded it at 120,000 miles. It had good acceleration, roomy (for a small car) and the gas millage during the $4 gallon times was a real saver. We might get another when we make that next move to civilization. The Prius is not good for gravel/muddy roads with large rocks, deep ruts and suicidal wildlife.

I uninstalled my parents water heater and took it back for a refund and the propane company installed a Rheem water heater, so hopefully that project is now complete. I'll check their water temperature in a few days and make sure it is not creeping into the scalding zone from the heat of the pilot, but the pilot already looks substantial smaller than the other WH. The Rheem also does not have all the solid state blinking status/problem lights of the other.

Ron, the iPhone 4s can be locked?

74 going to 88 today, foggy morning, and dry here too. But...lots of rain predicted coming in Friday, at least several inches. Hopefully it will then clear up and be a nice holiday weekend.
Ed, I think you will miss the room of the larger V more than you will miss the extra mpg.

Staying darker longer in the mornings; I was so tired from yesterday I actually slept until 6:30am, late morning for me, middle of the day for Roy. Roy, hang
in there, then take any of the negative reports, copy them, and make targets for your new gun this weekend.

I hope David/Sodamo's flight went ok. He's off on a real bucket list adventure ,while back home
the hurricane is making things interesting for most of the Hawaiian Islands. At least the water doesn't have far to run.

going over to my neighbor's house and will chat with him about going with me to check out this tractor I'm interested in.
Thinking it might be too big and if its primary job is to run a rototiller and a bush hog,
versus a plow or disc, I'm thinking heavier is not good in the garden plot. Good for grip in general of course though.
There is a five year old Massey 40hp diesel with 175 hours sitting at the Kubota dealer for 11 grand.
Gear, stick, simple tractor, Shibaura, might be smarter than buying a 40 year old tractor. Half the weight.
And I'm in no rush so will just look around, trying to stay on the low end of my budget. Trying...

the primary air filter for my Kubota cost me 70 bucks yesterday. The inner filter wasn't much cheaper. Wowsa.
Once a year, tolerable but still I find Kubota's filter pricing almost silly. I looked at the filter and said 20 bucks max, maybe 30 since
it was heavy duty and the next size larger than what a lot of us run in small diesels and zero turns with cartridge filters.
Sure am going to write that part number down and see if I can cross it. Tractor's out of warranty so...

Good morning from LAX, 70° and I'm not seeing any tractors.
73°F and just .01 inches rain since midnight back home. Madeline threatening.

Be safe
Have a great day

Daugen, You might be right about the room. Small one would fit in the garage better though. I just wish the only one they have was not fire engine red. I would like it to be white. Not into flashy colors. Wife does not like color either, it clashes with the house. :)

They had four big chunks of fresh tuna, at least two inches thick, that looked like big beef filets, almost bought them,
but wasn't sure how to prepare it beyond the barbecue. And I tend to want things cooked more than others and cooking fresh tuna
very much really turns some folks off. They want hot sushi, not cooked fish. Each to his own, but hard to manage by myself and not screw it up,
ruining some very expensive fish.

Not to mention that big game fish like that often have worms and other parasites. Through cooking kills them; slicing thin as in sashimi (not sushi) makes them easier to discover. Tuna on the BBQ is delicious, but use a meat thermometer and a recipe to make sure it's cooked through.

They blame the government that they have to make the propane water heaters so efficient that the pilot will over heat the water by 55˚ getting the temp above 140˚ on the vacation setting.

Do a little digging and find a brand that uses pilotless ignition. You'll save propane, too.

For all those that use those foam earplugs: WARNING!!!

Do not put the earplugs in the same pocket as your iPhone - just ask all the people I butt called today before I figured it out.

There's a button on the top of the phone you can use to lock the phone before it goes into your pocket. That should solve the butt dialing problem, but you'll have to login again to use it next time. Which from a security standpoint is the safe thing to do anyway.

Good luck with all your sales, Buppies.

I don't know what it is with people these days, but there sure seem to be a lot of flakes out there. They say they'll buy something, then show up with not enough money or never show up at all. Also all the low ballers, even when the ad says "no low ball offers", or I tell the real estate agent I'm not interested in selling for less than the asking price. Hope things are different in your neck of the woods...
