You know that you are a granddaddy with granddaughters when you know all the Strawberry Shortcake characters.

If you don't know what I'm talking about just move on.

Also helps when you know how to paint very small toenails.

For my youngest daughter (2 yo) it's 'Let it go', also from the movie 'Frozen'... or anything Minnie Mouse.

I can't sit down with her with out her wanting to watch Minnie Mouse or Let It Go videos on YouTube. Really cut into my TBN time, until I got out my old phone that still connects to our WiFi... now she's got her own 'hello', as she calls cell phones.

The older girls (almost 10, 12, and almost 14) have moved onto much less adorable Justin Bieber style crap...

I have 7 granddaughters and the youngest who is 3 wants to watch PJ Masks, on Disney, all the time. She also always wants to ride on Papa's tractor.

You know you are a father when both you and the dog serve as a model for their pretend hairdresser operation.

My wife has more blackmail photos than I care to admit or would ever show.......

But I wouldn't trade it for anything.

For my 10 year old, it was "Dora the Explorer" and "Diego"..."Swiper, no swiping! Swiper, no swiping! Swiper, no swiping!"

I would tell you about my polished toe nails, but it was so traumatic I have blocked it out of my memory.

Oh yeah, fingernail polish. Went to work on midnight shift one time with the nail on my left little finger painted bright red. Being half asleep I didn't notice until somebody pointed it out at the before shift safety meeting. About thirty guys standing around. I just said that I had young daughters and everybody nodded their head. No more heard about it.

I never figured out when they painted it.

I wanted a boy, but raising two girls was certainly good for my ego. With all females in the house I got ganged up on occasionally, but they loved their Daddy. Daddy could do no wrong...well, very little any way, and they thought I could fix anything!

And keeping sick grandkids. Which is what we have been doing all week. Her mom is very concerned but used up most of her sick leave when baby born. Her Dad also working as are in-laws. So we keep em.

This is one of the reasons we retired early. Not only can we travel and play, we can also help our kids and parents.

What we both worked our a$$es off for years to be able to do.

We kept our youngest (twins) grandsons from age six weeks until first grade...now I know what a soccer mom feels like; the older one I have to pick up from football practice. Jeeze! Talk about voter I.D.; now I have to have a driver's license and a blue I.D. card!

Two daughters and one boy here.

I have a picture somewhere of my youngest, at age 5 or 6, riding her bike around with a dead pheasant in the basket on the handlebars. She used to love to play with the birds I brought home. Wouldn't trade daughters for nothing!

At one time I think my german shorthair liked her better than me.

Have two daughters, today is the oldest's 39th birthday and in 10 day is the others 36th birthday. Have a soon to be 9 year old granddaughter. I have laughed, cried and nodded agreement with about every line written here. Girls love their daddy, boys love their mom. It was hard for me when I went from the most important man in my oldest girls life to number two and then to number three but so proud of each of those changes.

On the finger nail polish, my girls had painted my father in laws toe nails once right before he went in the hospital, he wore that polish as a badge of honor. kt

My daughter got my toenails one night  She had a friend sleep over. My wife had gotten called into work and I had worked crazy hours. Fell asleep on the couch, and they snuck in and did my toes :)

Was two days before I realized they got me

LOL X2....Somewhere I have a picture of me entertaining my Granddaughter at a ball game..She had brought all of her "important" jewelery consisting of hair bow's,ring's ,necklaces, clip on ear ring's and the sort...twenty minute's later I was wearing everything in her bag(which was quite a bit I tell you) I had other people snapping pictures with their phone commenting how great what I was doing for her was..I didn't care...I'm sure I was famous for a bit on someone's facebook page...
