What manufactures other than Kubota and Kioti actually make their own compact tractors?

My Mahindra 4035HST is Mahindra built. LS makes a lot of their own.

I would say NorTrac makes their own tractor in China and it's got so if you want quality, buy something made in another country. The made in USA sounds good but where's the quality, did it get shipped over seas to.

TYM builds their own stuff. Plus a few models for other manufacturers.

My JD 4105 was made/assembled in the US. The 300CX loader was made/assembled in Mexico, but that's due to NAFTA.

Most of my implements were made in Queensland*.

(*normally I say 'bloody' Queensland as I barrack for the Blues)

Mitsubishi makes them for themselves and other companies.

I cant find a Mitsubishi Tractor web site, odd. One would think that a tractor manufacturer would have a web site.

There are several manufactures that do not sell to the public, just manufacture tractors to be sold by other companies under that companies logo. They have no dealer or distribution system [ or web site ] to build in a far away country like the US of A....

Iseki makes their own, but they don't sell them here is the US. But, Massey Ferguson rebadges their little TXG series and sells them as the GC series. I think at least one of their larger CUTs is a rebranded Mitsubishi also.

Regarding COMPACTS ... here's what I know regarding current tractor production (last time I checked).

Manufacturers selling as their own:
Kubota (Japan) - Makes/sells their own.
Daedong (S Korea) - Makes their own, sells as Kioti.
LS Mtron (S Korea) - Makes/sells their own.
Yanmar (Japan) - Makes/sells their own.
TYM "Tong Yang Moolsan" (S Korea) - Makes/sells their own.
Kukje Mfg (S Korea) - Makes their own, sells as Branson.
Mahindra (India) - Makes/sells SOME of their own.
Deere (US) - Apparently currently makes/sells their own.
Mitsubishi (Japan) - Makes their own, BUT not sold in US as Mitsubishi.
Iseki Mfg (Japan) - Makes their own, BUT not sold in US as Iseki.

Companies selling tractors built by someone else:
New Holland - LS makes nearly all of them.
Case - LS makes them.
Massey Ferguson (Parent AGCO) - All compacts (and most machines under 100 HP) made by Iseki Mfg.
McCormick - Currently, compacts built by Kukje Mfg (previously built by LS and Daedong).
Cabellas - Built by TYM.
Mahindra - Compacts built by TYM, Mitsubishi, and a few by themselves.
Bobcat - Compacts built by Daedong (no longer offered, deal expired).

... I think that's everybody.

Don't leave out
SDF (SAME DEUTZ FAHR)
or SL&H SAME Lamborghini Hurlimann. The 325 must certainly qualify as a compact.

Those dang Italians... they make most anything...;-)

I think it depends on your definition of "who makes the tractor".

My perception is that virtually all are assemblers to a certain extent. Probably Kubota makes most of the assemblies that go into their stuff, but I'm guessing certain subassemblies are sourced out.

All seem very good at hiding their alliances. For example, I've never been able to determine who makes the hydrostatic transmission in my LS R3039H.

It is too costly for any manufacturer to do the R&D on every component going into a SCUT or CUT. Margins are just too thin.

Mahindra & Mahindra are 1/3rd owners now in Mitsubishi Agricultural Machinery (MAM), now called Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery. So that muddies the water as far as who builds what. They have a website.

Branson, for being a relatively small player, makes a remarkable amount of their tractors themselves. As do most of the Japanese brands, Kubota, Yanmar, Iseki, etc.

Worldwide, Mahindra makes by far the majority of the tractors they sell. But in the USA, we have a big market for compact tractors and TYM/Mitsu provide a lot of units.

"I think it depends on your definition of "who makes the tractor".<<<<<<<<<<We'll my definition is, a company builds a tractor, put there name on it, distributes them to dealers and has a web site to compare apples and oranges, any thing else don't count, now WHO does that leave besides Who's on first and What's on sec.?

I found out that New Holland has I believe 23 plants worldwide in various countries. My Workmaster 50 was made in India with an Italian engine and FEL made in Tennessee. That is spreading it around.
