Good afternoon all. 50F clear going to 68F. Consulting not going well, fighting overloaded server, hard to get answers sometimes, have 7 scripts running using 99-100 cpu and need to track down what starts them.

Seven little scripts,
Running at the same time,
Mostly wants to kill six,
Will he be guilty of cyber crime ?

Seven little scripts,
Error down to one line,
Fix that in a minute or too
After next glass of wine

One little script left,
Server cool, cpu is fine,
Now too drunk to ride a bike,
What a way to earn a dime

:)

Good morning. My wife insisted I put sun screen on yesterday and today looks much the same. For a couple of months I have been wanting the weather to warm up and now it does that when I am having to wheelbarrow in soil for her raised beds, as the ground is too soft to take the weight of the tractor. A sensible man would wait until the ground dried, but she is really keen to get growing and I'm not that sensible.

Anyone any good at maths ? I would like to know, if a loader bucket fills 6 wheelbarrows, the tractor made 10 trips yesterday and there are 26 more lengths of wood to build into beds - will I get a day off to go fishing before summer is over :confused3:

Our Earl is an accomplished poet too!!

cooler this morning, rain has mostly moved North, high in the sixties then warming up next week to summer weather. Should be a very nice weekend. I have to go foodshopping this morning but then this afternoon I plant the dozen shrubs I dug holes for with the tractor auger yesterday. 51 shrubs planted in last week. That's enough for this year, one side of the property now done. Though I still have about fifty holes left on the other side, all dug, waiting. Doing my best to create a privacy wall everywhere so during the winter these mostly evergreen shrubs, thuja, leland cypress, magnolias, camelias, and lots of azaleas will help block the neighbors. This azalea variety blooms again in the fall, which considering I have now lined my wooded driveway with about thirty of them should hopefully be very pretty.

Almost all these shrubs were planted in soil filled with tree roots. Impossible for me to do without the tractor auger.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 41° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 71° with plenty of sun. Good day to do some of the little projects that require some sun. Should be a good day.
Peeing off the porch? I must not live far enough out in the country.
Eric, fall fishing is the best.
Irv, your going to miss some good weather in MI this weekend.
Txdon, good news on BH.
Thomas, hurry up. Retirement is mostly good until you get old.
Good Morning All.

My problem with digging holes is rocks. Tractor auger makes it possible.

50 and rain going to 57 and rain...10th day. Getting way behind on projects and planting fields and garden.

I have some post holes to dig, but I'm afraid they'd fill up with water.

Drew, sounds like you're going to have a real arboretum...with flowers in spring summer and maybe winter...just keep them watered...need any?

Eric, drawing from personal experience? :)

Middle son came in last night from NC with his boxer...nice to have a playmate for Coco. We'll find something fun to do with the dogs despite the rain.

Having been born and raised on a 100 acre farm with 70 acres of woods, peeing outside seems more natural than inside. And I have found that apparently said peeing can make an excellent weed killer if concentrated in one consistent spot. Yeah, now we are in TMI for sure....:D
Ah, the joys of stopping almost anywhere on your property, perhaps turning slightly, and then the pause that refreshes.

Glad to read the fire is out in Shenandoah National Park - over 10,000 acres burned, but most of the trees are expected to survive...lots of ground "litter" leaves, deadfalls, etc burned and lots of new plants will emerge...good for wildlife to move back in.

I watched a pretty cool video someone took with their drone from the valley...showed enormous smoke cloud.

We only smelled smoke here on one day.

Ed, I know you're glad it's out.
