Just wanting to know if many are or have had trouble with Branson standing behind their product?
Our 2013 3510H had stub axles break 3 times in 3 1/2 months. Also big creeping problems, also slower than it was.
We were fairly happy with this until dealer became aggressive and Branson refusing to even communicate re warranty.
Yes, we are still under warranty.
We are asking for our money back.
Just wondering if others have had difficulty with Branson warranty.
Thanks.

Is it 3 times in 3 1/2 months or is it 3 times in 7 months. I don't think there would be 2 owners with the same problem and comments on the internet. What are you doing when they break?

Branson has stood behind mine so far but no repeat failures like you are experiencing.

Same thing, 3 times in 3 1/2 months or its been 3 times in the last 7 months, whichever is correct. Same owner. Dealer replaces the axle. One only lasted a week. We are wanting a permanent fix since they say they are not responsible once the warranty runs out. They say no. Just wondering if others have issues with warranty that's all. Our mechanic said we weren't alone in relation to the stub axles breaking.

Whatever. It happened in a 3 1/2 month period, three times. However, the first instance was 7 months ago....that means.....the last time it happened was 3 1/2 months ago.
So....one can say it happened within a 3 1/2 month period
or
it happened in the last 7 months.
So sorry for any confusion. Seriously....the issue it that it happened and that it's a dangerous problem and that Branson won't take it seriously.
I'd really rather just stay focused on the issue.
Thanks.

I'm confused.

A search on google shows the complaint on other Branson youtube videos venting about broken stub shafts with different time lines. Anyway to the question I asked earlier. What tractor activity are you engaged in when the stub shafts have been breaking?

digging, driving and backing up
I predict it will be called abuse even though its normal activity for which the "tool" should be suitable.

... Can you show a pic of where the stub breaks? -- Theres usually a stress riser that is the root cause when you approach strength limits, as you apparently are. -- Sometimes removal of an extremely small amt of material will spread out the flexing area and prevent it cracking.

What kind of weight is on the tractor and what is recommended in the owners manual for using the FEL? Same wheel or the opposite wheel. My guess is that it is correct or a dealer would have jumped all over that one. Axles should never break on new tractors.

I had two axles break on a JD garden tractor many years ago but I was treating it like a bulldozer so I brushed it off. Come to find out they weren't heat treated properly, if I recall correctly. It wasn't under warranty so I just changed them and forgot about it.

We broke the RF spindle on a LS7010 at work twice last winter. The dealer speced a push box on the loader that put it over the front axle's GAWR unless you put a 2000# ballast barrel on the 3 point (its a handy thing having a scale at work). They replaced it twice under warranty.

Since then, so far, so good.

I had a problem with an idler pulley on my AC when I first got mine. Local rep was right there on the job, got upgraded replacement parts....I wanted to fix it and get back up........blew out a cab door but that was my fault...hit a rock with my drum mower....had another within the week but I paid for it.

Not sure I would say "axels should never break on new tractors"?!! No they shouldn't break if your using the tractor to it's full specified use. If you go beyond that specification all bets are off. Tractors are mechanical and there will be break downs regardless of brands, it all comes back to how the dealer takes care of their customer and how the manufacturer backs the dealer.

It's a Kubota, but here's a perfect example of beyond specified use.
First time using the tractor testing a Wicked Grapple.

Branson is good about warranty. Generally to break a front axle shaft, unless it was a flawed shaft, requires that you load the front up enough that the rear end is light, then try to push real hard. You are asking for 100% of the traction to move the tractor to come from the front axle shafts, which are typically much, much smaller than rear axles shafts on compact tractors. If you are digging with the front bucket (and it is a loader, not a dozer), then you need to make sure you are not asking the front axle to do all the work.

In a high load high traction situation for the front axle and a low traction situation for the rear axle, the tractor is no longer front wheel assist as designed, instead it becomes front wheel drive and in those operating situations, you need to be gentle.

It's impressive that the HST has enough grunt to do this, although not impressive you have breakage. I don't know what you are doing with the tractor. A loader ought to load all day long. But a loader isn't an excavator or a dozer, and you can break them if you treat them like a $125K Cat TLB...which can dig and act like a dozer.
