TBN'ers We need to be nice!!!!

I must live a sheltered life. The threads I read here are friendly and polite, informative, helpful. I've been reading TBN since 2003 and simply don't see the changes described above.

'Friendly' Politics is the only exception.

I agree......I don't see a problem either.....lot of nice folks on TBN. Friendly Politics being the exception.........bunch of crybabies over there.

Oooo, forgot about him. Wonder how he's doing and what his girls are up to? I remember the one having a serious head injury in a gator-type vehicle. She was recovering nicely as I recall. And the horses, and rodeos, and home schooling. I'll bet those girls are in or near their 20's now. :laughing:

I wasn't going to read this thread but decided to just in case there might be some funny posting, sure enough, besides the ducks pics, this one really made me laugh, I thought it was worth repeating. I started realizing years ago that one of the hardest thing in the world to change is someone's mind.
This subject reminds me of what I my pastor said in one of his sermons years and years ago, "this world is an insane asylum run by it's inmates" might be some truth to that still.

You guys got a lot more than us, that's for sure. We got about a foot over the last few days, but its light, fluffy stuff and no problems at all. The warm winter has killed the ice fishing. And a foot of insulating snow on top of what little remaining ice will really stop it.

I felt bad for a guy down the road from us. A few years ago he started a snow plowing business and a bait shop. We had no snow to plow and no ice for the ice fisherman that year, and he went out of business within about 6 months. I don't think he thought it out too well, as snow is hit and miss, and even if there was ice, you can't feed your family on 15-20 $3.00 bait sales each day. He tried to start repairing cars, too, but it looked like a chop-shop in there, and was more of a drinking establishment. He was the same guy I saw on my 50th birthday when I was out fishing. I was on the lake, by myself, and he and three other guys came out there hooting and hollering and passing the bottle. They noticed I was pulling out fish one after the other and they weren't getting squat. They asked what I was using for bait, what lures, what line, etc.... it was basically the same stuff they were using. They said I had the good holes, so I traded and started pulling fish out of their holes. I ended up catching 50 on my 50th! They had a couple each. What I noticed was, heck, I could see their lines twitching with bites, but they weren't noticing the movement. They were distracted by the fifth of fun above the ice! :laughing:
