Air Suspension Seat

Kubota now offers an air suspension seat for the 60 series tractors as an $800 option. Has anyone tried or heard of an attempt to retrofit the seat to any of the older models? Specifically the L 5030 series? I would attempt to do this if it is feasible. The Air Ride Seat fits all the new Grand L 60 series tractors, the part number is L6023.

My neighbor has M105 he bought new that the air ride seat stopped working correctly. Local Kubota dealer tried to repair it but failed and installed a new $1800 air ride seat.

I believe the seat pan on the L40 (and I suspect also in the case of the L30 series) and L60 series differs. The L60 is now flatter so the seat just bolts right up. It's been discussed before. Take a read through this thread as it might be of help:

Also, I snapped a couple of photos of the seat (it's made by Grammar) while at the dealer. You may be able to get it cheaper from another reseller as it's not made by Kubota.

Thanks, I have been searching for some useful information without much success. My son broke his back a few years ago and a disc ruptured in his back recently. He loves his tractor and he thought this might help with his back issues. I really appreciate your response.

It will definitely help, I too had a spinal cord injury years ago and I can only operate a couple of our tractors comfortably. We bought the air ride base for our M8540 and will install it this winter, can't let it sit still long enough until then.
