Is this MIG wire even usable?

OK, see we need to get on the same page here. Dual shield is not the same as self shielded flux core. People like to call dual shield and self shielded wire flux core. But they are totally two different types of wire. Dual shield wire will run just great in a regular Mig gun. But self shielded wire is really stiff, and when it gets hot it expands, and will freeze up inside a regular Mig gun liner! That's why I said earlier, you might get away with running .045" self shielded wire through a regular Mig gun, but no bigger than .045".

Interesting because I know they were running a 1/16" self shielded wire through a mig gun. Worn out liner? Not sure where to go from here. I have the wrong wire on order for a gun I'm not a fan of.

WOW! I'm shocked:shocked:. Well give it a try, it may work.:confused3:
If not, I've had good luck buying from this web site. If you do need to buy a flux core gun. Make sure you get the correct end for your feeder.

This is a 15-feet long gun, 12-feet long guns are cheaper, but I really like the extra 3-feet.
