Hey ya'll
I am thinking about buy a Land Leveler to use for my very hard packed and uneven driveway. A regular blade won't do the trick. Anybody have any experience with these or another product? I looked at DR power graders and saw several bad reviews. Also if a 4 Wheeler can pull it, it won't be up for this job. Thanks for your time.

You can pull most land plane grader scrapers (LPGS) easily with the 2240 or 5410. I would skip the four wheeler if those two tractors in your signature are available to use. There are countless threads on these attachments to search through, some of us have built our own too. Lots of reading for you.

I am looking at the Land Pride Unit.
The GS1560 is the closest to size for my tractor.
Local Dealer quoted $1150 with stratisfiers.

Anyone using the GS1560 ?

Davrow has a GS1572 I believe. He has a Kioti CK27. He's even out in your neck of the woods. You might PM him and ask how it likes his.

Brian, now I know where he got the idea!

I hate to admit it but the backhoe has stayed on since you were here. I haven't tried the LPGS yet. It's really for after I retire and have more time out at 'the ranch'.

Woooops, sorry about that. Figured that you had used it by now. We still need to get you set up with a ROBB and a grapple., All in time.;)

I bought a EA 6' Land Leveler [ Land Plane, LPGS, etc ] last year and really like the job it does. Pulled real easy with my 2240. You have to make several passes, and each pass loosens up the hard pack until you are eventually digging down to the full depth. I was going to order the the 7', but changed the order to the 6' so I could use it out in the woods on my trails... plus, you only need a width that is 1/2 your driveway width so you can hill it up if you want to. EA unit is well built, and I likes it...!!!! :)

So I bought a six footer last week and love it. My driveway was pretty jacked up and it did a great job. My smaller 2240 is the better tractor for this as it is easier to maneuver.

Brian, Scrambler82 - I'm feeling quite stupid... I don't have a Land Pride unit, I have a Gearmore GS6.

I believe they are in Ontario (So Cal, not Canada) - one of the few mfg outfits on the west coast.

Actually, Gearmore is nothing more than a middle man. To the best of my knowledge and I have been there, they build nothing. They are just middle men with their logo on things. So Dave, when do we get to see your equipment dirty???? ;)

I like that gearmore. How are they, price-wise?

Not a bargain, comparable to others. I'll try to remember to look it up. It is a bit lighter weight than the Land Pride I thought I had  505lbs for the Gearmore, 594 for the Land Pride.

Looks like you are right, they are careful to say they 'provide', 'offer' and 'supply' implements.

There seems to be a floor of about $1100-$1200 that just isn't to be gone below.
Used ones just DON'T EXIST.

One day, I too, will have a not-for-sale LPGS.

There is a local guy to me in theFrench valley area, I looked at both the Gear More (GM) and the Land Pride (LP).
The LP appears to be better designed and built as well if not better than the GM, the LP had additional bracing across the unit and ther are extended pulls from the 3PH to the second cross brace to spread out the pulling pressure.
The pricing is the same for either unit and the Sales Agent says he can't drop the price. He also said there are a few come up used once in a while, I gave him my name and asked for a LP GS1560, we will see.

Product update: In addition to our current ETA Cat 1&2 Land Levelers, we are now offering a version with ripper shanks. The shanks are mounted behind the main tube for maximum durability.
The new page shows computer generated images. Those will be updated soon.
I hope you like!

Just a novice's opinion and yes we know everyone has at least one but also my opinion is based on looking at the Land Pride (LP) unit in person and looking on the web to,see the EA Unit.
The LP unit is built rugged, compared to what I see on the web, as rugged as any and the lowest priced unit with Stratisfiers of any.
The EA unit is rugged looking, built to last but the $1600.00 price tag is almost $500.00 more than LP, why should it be, I for one do not see any justification for the additional cost.
the Gearmore does not look very rugged and it too costs more than the LP Unit.

Scrambler82, before you decide on the LP unit, contact these guys and see what they have to offer you. If I didn't have my LPGSers, these guys are the first guys that I would be checking with.

The 5' utility unit should be about perfect for your tractor I would think.
