Looks to me like the corroded cylinder has run with coolant leaking for an extended period of time. Needs to go to the machine shop and see if it can be repaired.

Thanks Winston, another question, the thread on the crank shaft, is right in both side or not?

I agree with Winston..you have run this tractor for some time with a blown head gasket / cracked head .

May have a cracked block. The ports I can see and the Head itself looks fairly good. No Doubt have it checked. Hope it's only the head.

Don't know. Would nearly bet the flywheel nut is right hand just because of rotation but sure don't know it for fact. Part number for flywheel nut is 124450-21530 and pulley nut is 124160-21670. Googled those but found no mention of size or which way they turn. I would think there might be enough thread sticking out to determine.

What exactly are you referring to? Looks normal to me. Lap in the valves and you are good to go.

It is going to take a lot of lapping for the left hand valve shown in picture two.

I would be more worried and concerned about were the water is coming from. The Valve Seats look in fairly good condition. I've seen a lot worse. Esp. working at a Machine shop in my late teens and early 20's.

thats a good pont on the water. Unless the head gasket had an obvious bad spot in it where it was leaking i like Carey would make sure i know where that water came from.

The cylinder head is in machine shop, probably the water come from a little cracked near injector port.
After hydraulic test i'm sure which is the problem!!

That news makes me cringe some. My Yanmar 3T80 engine had that same thing. It was not repairable. I already had $1,000 tied up into getting the engine rebuilt. Before going further with that engine, I started looking for a new head. None were to be found anywhere; new, used, rebuilt etc. Then I had found Fredricks. Got a $1,000 trade-in "as-is" long as the front and back end would roll onto a trailer and ship it down to them. In two weeks they totally restored the machine, not just the engine, the entire John Deere 850. I used the $1,000 on the current YM2610 restored Yanmar from Fredricks. Rather than in the hole with no tractor, they worked with me on getting a fair deal.

BTW, your 2T80 engine is also found in the John Deere 650. You might find a John Deere head for $2,000 at a Deere service center.

I thougth that i read here that the JD heads and Yanmar (actual yanmar tractors) were different? NOt saying that they wont bolt up though?

That would depend on what model. The 3T80 and 3T80J should be the same.

Do they even have Deere dealerships in Italy?

Do they even have Deere dealerships in Italy?
Sure. It's a worldwide brand like Caterpillar or Coca Cola.

Here's the Italy dealer locator.
Ricerca Concessionari (You can switch to English in the upper right corner).

Enter Roma (Rome), then Agricultural applications. That marks 15 dealers on the map.
