I know the rear tires are in worse shape than the fronts as far as wear, but had you thought of maybe just getting new rear tires (same size) and keeping the power adjust cast rims. The price on getting new front rims/tires would be a lighter hit to the wallet than rear rims/tires. You'd have a new set of sneakers all the way around and a sweet package.

My tractors all have either Goodyear or Titans, just the way they came, figured I'd keep em in the family, not that it matters much.

Ovrszd, my 3930 2wd has 13.6-28 rears as it came. Strangely it has implement tires on the front as opposed to 3 rib. I predominantly use it for teddering and raking, so not a big deal for me.

For the heck of it I made up a chart of my tractors with sizes they came with.

I've had two tractors with Titan tires. I get along fine with them. I can't testify to longevity yet.

I think I'm so over geared now that I can't use front tires/wheels big enough to get my gear ratio right. I'll run some numbers in that chart I found to check that. Good thought. I'll get back to ya.

Before I spent 5 cents on anything, I'd jack up all 4 wheels of that 3910, engage the 4wd and rear difflock. Mark one front and one rear sidewall and manually turn a rear wheel through one full revolution (transmission in neutral). See where the mark on the front tire ends up. A real world test. All the calculations in the world are meaningless if the tractor has different gears installed than what is used for the calculations.

Just because the tire combos are unfamiliar to us doesn't mean they are improper. Somebody put them on for some reason.............

I'll run that test tomorrow. So explain to me what my expectations should be Rick. I value your opinion on this.

I don't think this tractor has had the gears changed. I base that on the fact that you can't buy variables. Only one ratio offered.

I think this tractor has had the rear wheel/tires changed from some other model. I think it's got 2wd rear wheels on a 4wd tractor. CNH's website offers 38" rear wheels. But they don't clarify if 2wd or 4wd.

I think this was done when the original owner traded it. He swapped tires/wheels to get rid of junk tires and keep newer tires that had been installed on the 3910. No consideration of size was taken. I think he might have put 4 new tires on the tractor, then later traded it and didn't want to lose the newer tires?? :confused3:
