Kubota's next BX generation. 2015?

Your right there Boscoe! Glad it all worked out and you got a new baby in the garage. We got a BX25D this spring and I am VERY glad I bought it. I have a larger machine but found I use the BX FAR more than I ever thought I would. That "Little" backhoe has saved me more hours of work than I can count! Great machine and does the work of something twice its size and cost.

"How could anything that does 8 mph be so much fun?" I coulda bought a Harley, but am having so much more fun with this cute little tractor. And it is year around fun at that.

Just thought I"d pass this along. Was at one of my local dealers the other day and in the course of conversation with one of the salesmen, the next gen BX25 came up. He didn't say much but did say that Kubota was changing to side-by-side HST pedals like Deere uses. I have no other confirmation of that, so take it for what you paid for it -

Personally, I like the fore-aft set up they use now. Never tried a true treadle pedal like on some of the larger tractors, but I do like the current BX set up.

My John Deere GX335 has side by side pedals. In winter with big boots on it's hard to keep a foot on just either the forward pedal or the reverse pedal. Both sometimes get pressed. Maybe bigger tractors have a wider distance between the two. I like the heel and toe set up on the BX. Pretty hard to mess up.

Haha meto but sometimes in the winter snow sometimes get built up underneath the reverse pedal and I have to stop everynow and then to clean under the pedal to get the full reverse speed out of it.

I personally like the treadle pedal as it is very comfortable to me. I really think they are both fine and a lot has to do with what you get used to. My biggest concern is getting my brake mixed up between the BX and the MX. I like the brake on the left on the BX but have hit it down by accident thinking it was the clutch - too much time on the MX and the old habits are sometimes hard to break! (on the Mx you clutch it to engage the PTO - the BX there is no clutch for those that are not familiar with both machines)

I'll believe it when I see it :).

I hate or dislike or rather/prefer the brake NOT being on the left side like it is on my new BX25D because I've gotten used to it being on the right side. Only time I use it is when I get off and lock it down so not that big a deal, just having to adapt.

Also double me to. Doubt it ever happening

Well, I don't take that as an absolute "not happening" so clue us in some more. Is it just a rumor or did you hear it's not changing? And when is the next BX incarnation hitting dealers' lots? Inquiring minds want to know.

no one will know until the next dealer meeting in October. Anyone who does know, or see's a prototype has to sign an NDA.

my hunch... I think you see incremental changes like the drive over deck, but nothing revolutionary. Kubota has so many irons in the fire right now.

Any updates on this?

The drive over deck looks like they just put foldable ramps on the current design. Surely, someone has done this, on the current design. I would like the drive over deck without the autoconnect. Best of both worlds.
