Sanded our 300' driveway plus parking area yesterday afternoon,just in time for rain arriving to night into Wednesday sooo looks like Thursday I get sand driveway etc. all over again but that's okay,today my last full day of work until 1/5/15...need to show tomorrow for 3 hour meeting tho.

Haven't seen the sun in theses parts since week ago Monday afternoon.

So the update is I got a job offer (finally!) but on paper it is much less than I was making. I'm uncertain what the court will determine and if they rule against me again... Well I'm just not going to consider that for now.

Hopefully I can make this into the job I need it to be, we shall see.

I deeply thank you all for all the support over the last couple years. I'm sure I will still need it for a while as I'm not out of the woods yet...

Good visit with dentist yesterday - no cavities!

Did a lot of trim painting yesterday with the warm temps - upper 50s. I used a laser temp gun to take temperature of the wood - I was surprised at the difference based on which side of the house I was painting - over 120 degrees in full sun, but only 44 on the north side in the shade all day.

My wife went to Costco and had the new tires I ordered online installed on her vehicle - I really like their process, nitrogen, free rotation for life, etc. But also learned yesterday how easy they were to work with on a warranty claim - the old tires wore out before the warranted period - "no problem, here's $23 per tire" in cash. Gas was $2.15.

26F. Clouds return today. The good news is they took the freezing rain out of tonight's forecast. Now it's rain @ 32F.

Can't win on the driveway this winter Thomas. Mine is pretty decent now with some snow stuck to the ice. Tonight's rain will fix that right up. :laughing:

David MFW congrats on the job! Sorry it isn't what you hoped for. Maybe it's a pathway to a better situation and it beats eating your seed corn.

waiting for my friend's teapot to boil to get some coffee here; much slower process than I'm used to and when you want that first cup, well, most of you know...
Nice visit with family and friends in PA and DE and headed home in a few hours to a warm rainy day, high in the sixties in Washington NC. At least I'll have a clear drive down and this part from mid Delaware to home is the nicest part of the drive. It is just so nice when the traffic thins out.

David/MF, you may not be out of the woods, in some ways none of us are, that's life, but you are in
MossFlower Woods, a place with hopefully less worry now. Time to worry less and enjoy more, with your kids and get into a nice routine. With plenty of seat time of course. Now you know those girls all need to know how to drive a tractor....

Going to just take it easy on the drive and let the fast movers on by. Less of that in NC, seems like the drivers get more frantic and crazy as one goes North. Folks doing 80 in 55's, that sort of thing.
Well in NC, they are going to meet up with some very nice all black Hemi Chargers with a nice silver star on the side. And lots of winky lights.

Good morning! Today is a bright sunshiny 50's day. 50˚ now with a high of 58˚. You were right Ron. Could be a day to gather firewood just in case the house gets chilled for Christmas.

I installed the second 4' florescent light fixture at Dad's, an older one that he got from an electrical place in town where he got the originals from, still does not work. He thought is was an exact match with the other fixtures but it did not have the exact matching ballast. The ballast is starting to turn the tubes on but doesn't quite do the job. By the time I get finished I'll be an expert on what does not work. Plan "C" is to try to see if I can find a set of tubes to match the ones listed on the ballast.

Now his propane hot water heater is acting up and needs replaceing. Anybody replaced one recently and has done my comparison shopping for me?

Mist freezing on the roads around here this morning. Just came back from VFD traffic control call. Young lady ended up upside down in the snow off the road, thankfully no injury. Bad way to start the day though.

52ｺ here at me GA place this morning. Been absolutely fantastic weather lately, but rain supposed to come today. Which reminds me of some stuff I have to do outside while it's still dry... Oh me, work is pushing me, and I don't push easily.

A lot of purple finches (they're actually kind of reddish color) are coming to me feeders. Sipping me joe, me and me hound staring out me big window watching the birds, this is nice. Have a good one boys.

43 here and raining a little bit. Might get some snow tomorrow. I am going to lunch in a bit, then off on some other things.

David, I don't have 1st hand knowledge, but I understand here that child support is pretty much automatic, in that if you make $X you pay some % of $X. I know that years back 2 employees I had, paid exactly the same, right down to the penny. Of course, both had the same job classification, and got paid the same union scale.
