Good morning, 40F heading to 47F. Wife feeling a little better this morning, still having balance problems but she can at least walk up the stairs. She says she has a headache but thinks it may be caffine withdrawl as she missed having coffee yesterday. She seems to have all the signs of the flu but no fever, very confusing.

Drinking second cup of coffee. 47° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 61° with a mix of sun and clouds. Pick up 3 weeks of mail from my sister place yesterday. What a pile of junk. No unexpected bills. Finishing off packaging of Christmas gifts that need to go in the mail this week. Then off to dinner at friends house.

60s and humid this morning. Spitting a little bit, but not quite sprinkling or misting. Looking for a chance of rain. Installing the new sign today. If the weather clears, I'll get in a ride. Cowboys play tonight.

46 this morning and headed to 51 today. We'll see. Was hoping that the sun would come out. 50 and cloudy can get cold playing in water. Oh well. Wash trays today and tomorrow and that job will be done till February. Birds leave this week as planned. So no chickens for Christmas. Makes making all the stops easier.

Power washing saga continues, about an hour and half in before going to the Christmas luncheon. Met some new old farts
Football this AM, then maybe more PW again this afternoon.

Good Afternoon. 1705, clear, 55F with 68% humidity. Today's high was 68F and tonight's forecast low is 36F.

Margie and I did some early morning Christmas shopping today before I had to be at work. Now I'm having the pleasure of listening to a children's choral Christmas program. Do you think it will hurt their little feelings if I close my office door?

I'm just finishing that book on traveling in an RV with a dog, and I need something new.

Drew, the homestead place is on Chicod Creek, which is a few miles up the Tar {Taw} River from you. But there is action just across the river on Chocowinity {Otter} Bay, down at Bath Town, and on both sides of Bath Town Creek, where Governor Charles Eden and {Acting} Chief Justice Tobias Knight lived side by side on the west side, and Edward Theache {Blackbeard} lived across from them on the east side. There are also plantations of some of the characters on Mixon Creek, Juniper Bay and the Pungo River. A band of outlaws live on Cedar Island out near Ocracoke Inlet, and Theache's men are known to stay on Ocracoke Island, just keeping an eye on shipping.

29F after a high of 42F. Mostly hazy sunshine but after 9:30 am an orange ball was discernible in the sky all day. Huge improvement. :laughing:

I cleared snow and ice off the roof today. It had standing waves of frozen slush pushed up above the snow fences. Some were a good 2' tall. It reminded me of ribbon candy.

Farmer2009 enjoy your bird break. I never thought about Santa needing to get home in time to feed the chickens. I could have used that line about 35 years ago. :laughing:

Good evening. It's dark and 70˚. Ron could you head back toward Texas and bring some cooler weather. It's so warm the snakes are active again. I had to dodge a coral and a chicken snake on the driveway this morning, almost went into the pond - I do need a guardrail.

Had a great day. Got about 3 acres of Russian olive and scrub trees mowed down. Best day I've ever had doing the pasture, no dust, nothing biting me. I did break one shear pin on the bush hog, but only because I stood up too soon, and the engine quit, and the momentum sheared the pin. No harm, popped a new pin in and finished the job. At least I know the seat switch works! Worked in the shop a bit, wife made a great chicken dinner. Life is good!

Working half day than spread one or two loads sand on the driveway this afternoon,4:30 pm Vets for cat check up..rather step on iron rake than take cat to Vets.

46 and holding most of the day. Supposed to rain tomorrow, actually great weather for this time of year. More outside stuff, then plan on working with my new BIL tomorrow, he has bought a property, going to open a restaurant.

I really don't mind most of the safety stuff, I am by myself a lot, and if I get hurt, it could be bad. Therefore, anything that keeps me safe is a good thing.
