Good morning!!!!

42 degrees with a high of 68 today in clear weather, with a warming trend for two days, then the bottom drops out to 27 degrees on Friday morning. Larro, you Floridians better get out your fur coats. When I lived in North Miami/Aventura Florida for three years it was really comical to see the fur coats come out in the high forties.

got my sister off safely this morning and have a bunch of errands to run this morning. Nothing too exciting.
a few more pics here, guess I ought to retire those old blue jeans from my heavier days.

/ Good morning!!!! #26,382
Drinking my first cup of coffee. 38° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 54° with possibility of rain showers in the morning. Pickup some leaves yesterday. Should be a good day to clean all the eve-troughs and down spouts of this years supply of leaves.
Drew, nice pictures. High on my list would be making a trail to the pond.
rswyan, nice rack for the augers.
Good Morning All.

32 with frost heading to 65 and clear as a bell out there.

Will be caulking and painting today (sounds like a broken record).

Drew, glad you had a good visit with sis, and so neat you have a bald cypress pond. They are truly majestic trees. I planted some in an old beaver swamp along my creek about 20 years ago.

my sister thought the bark looked like elephant skin. Beautiful trees, all new to me. And we found magnolia trees in the woods, all kinds of interesting trees that require some careful thinning to allow light to the ones that I want to thrive. Need to locate the nice trees and shrubs on the way to the pond, and as the weather gets colder, the going gets easier back there, except for those horrible green vines. I now always walk with clippers if only in self defense. If certain trees or shrubs are flowering or are just extra nice I might make the trail go by them. We circled in on the pond on the right side, leaving our trail of red pin flags as we went, and then came back a much more direct route, now that we had our bearings, and pin flagged that too. So I suppose I could make this road circular but for now, I think the direct route will be fine, and I can always make a path off from there later on. Such restraint, not like I bite off more than I can chew...;)

30 here now, 60's until Thursday when the bottom drops out. I live about 15 miles as the crow flies, from the northern most cypress swamp in the country. Being raised in northeastern NC however, I'm very familiar cypress and cypress knee art.

Good morning, 34F heading to 50F. Went to mother's house, cannot believe how much stuff she had crammed in her closets. Could be there for months just to sort through everything. Told sister just to take what she wants or thinks she wants and we will give the rest away. A lot of the stuff will just hit the garbage can, lots of expired food and canning.

36 this morning and headed to 65 today. Another sunny day. But that's concrete weather. All this building is finally getting to me. I use not feel it that much but after 3 days it's in my hands and shoulders. Not fun when hands tingle all the time.

30F headed to 50F today.

Nice pond Drew, the cypress is sure different than anything around here.

I removed the 3pt chipper yesterday, cleaned it up and pushed it into a corner for the winter. Hosed the field and chipper dust off the tractor and put on the rear chains. Those chains are getting loose as the tires wear and I suppose some wear in the links too. I think a few heavy duty tarp straps will take up enough slack to keep them going this year.

Good morning all. 46F this morning 69 forecast sunny with moderate wind. Fireplace and flue top priority today, pick up leaves and finish mowing. Will get some wood stack and tarped this week. Fireplace is going to get a work out with the weather report :)

Good Morning, 0950, sunny, 66F with 64% humidity. Forecast high of 67F with 0% chance of rain this afternoon, and a low of 43F tonight. The low this morning was 36F. The Blountstown weather station is offline, so this is from Cypress Fl, which is about 15 miles north of the Larro Ranchero.

I have my cardio and breakfast done. I had to abbreviate my lifting, as my back is still being a pain in the back side. Not sure what I will get into before I have to go to work. I'm recording the Noles' football game from the DRV to a DVD right now. I can leave it running, but I like to fast forward through the ads to make for easier watching later. {Not that I ever watch the old games, but it makes me feel better having them}

Drew, I know what you mean about Floridians and cold weather. Sunday morning I was reading through the posts on the post-game thread on Tomahawk Nation. Several folks were saying how quiet the crowd had been. Someone pointed out that it had been in the 50's at game-time, so everyone was wearing mittens:laughing:

Hope everyone is having a good day,

Larro

Drew nice pics :2cents:

Dave, do you 4WD on your TC? I never ran chains on my 1700(4wd), and did not need them except for the ice/sleet storms which were few and far between here.

50F and very sunny @ 11:00 ...

Just woke up, having my first up of coffee ... so much for an "early start" ... lol ...

My helper just showed up ... sent him off to buck logs for firewood, while I finish waking up and having my coffee.

Thanks Ron.

Hmmm ... have tools will travel ? ...

... lol ...

We need to get ya a storage stand for that new PHD too ... you'll be amazed at how easy it is to take it off and put it on the tractor.

some of you guys are amazingly creative
but don't let it go to your head...;)
Realizing that I had erred on the measurements for spacing was a humbling enough experience to preclude that as a possibility ... ;)

(the augers were supposed to fit in 6", 12", 24" order ... instead they have to go in 12", 6", 24" order)
