This morning I decided to collect all those we have here, and much to my amazement adding them all up came to well over half a grand...and I recently spent $100 on fuel that was given to me in the form of fuel cards....went and searched to learn just how many gift cards go unredeemed...depending on who you listen to, the total value could be as much as 1 billion dollars a year...and as much as 2% of gift cards are never redeemed. Me bad....so I am getting ready to use all of mine up....before the year ends, anyway....:laughing:

One enterprising college student setup a card exchange program - you'd get cash for the card, something like 85% of the value. I saw that in an article talking about students getting cards for one thing (music), when they really needed $ for something more critical (textbooks, food...).

Yep, the businesses that issue these cards sure love 'em, esp. when they could put expiry dates on them !

What am I bid here for a $100 Apple gift card....which I was given for signing up for Frontier's worthless DSL service for 24 months....and they did not tell me at the time what the card was for....

I used to get $10 iTunes cards from work for incentives. I would sell them on eBay, and people would routinely pay $10.50 for a $10 iTunes card. WTHeck people??
