New Member - First tractor S370

Hello Everyone,

Been around tractors all my life, Big tractor pulling fan, Finally got my very own tractor a month ago... Satoh S370 Beaver with a Woods 348MT belly mower and a home made 3pt blade.

Found this forum very helpful, Figured I would join the conversation


A few questions for you guys

* How can I tell what year this thing was made?
*What's a good gear to mow the lawn?
* Noticed the front cylinder runs cooler ( exhaust ) than the back one until engine warms up, Bad glow plug or valve's need adjusting? ( no blow by in crank case and no odd smoke )

Thanks! I have no idea how many hours it has, but its in pretty good shape for its age, just need some fresh paint. The only thing I have replaced/fixed so far is the air intake hose to the air cleaner canister. It was worn and had a few pinholes... I shopped around and decided to fix it. I used a 2:1 clear shrink tubing I had kicking around. Heated in place so that it would take the shape. So far its holding up well... only time will tell.
