What's with the plates on the grill?

He collects antique licence plates. I believe they're the year of the tractor and as someone said it's '54

He has to add a lead additive to the gas... I'd want it far away from me too. LOL

She's looking good! Still has the original 6 volt charging system, too.

Yup. LOL I remember him trying to crank it at the front when it was cold... I was just a kid. It JUST wouldn't start. I said "why don't you just turn it faster?" He said "if you thing you can do better go ahead" I proptly pushed down on the crank with all my weight and was thrown five feet back.

That's a nice old tractor, and the blade is just one more example of american ingenuity.

Been there done that with my old F-12 when I was a boy... Dad taught me afterwards to crank pulling up, and keep your thumb on the same side of the handle as your fingers. That, after the #1 lesson on setting the spark advance to full ******, or there abouts...

Nice old Farmall putting in a good day's work.

I own two (Super A and a Cub). Fun tractors to work on and to drive. The Cub is being completely rebuilt now. The Super A runs OK and will get a rattle can restoration when I get around to it.
