No thread drift allowed here. We will have to list you among the Ageist wing.

Larro

Ageism originally referred to discrimination against older people and middle age, but has expanded to include children, and those that have pallets in fields and are from New Jersey.

No, I didn't forget it. I know what it is, and will be on my next birthday. I just didn't think I needed to post it! :D

I am 61, in my mind I still split wood with a maul and wrestle bears but in truth I have significant arthritis in my spine, hips, knees, hands, oh you get it, everywhere. Have to use a cane to get around and type one handed. My mind is still young but my body is not. Cant' stand the pounding of a dozer anymore but still love/hate the things. Most days are one day of work and a couple of days to recoup.

I still have two tractors and an RTV900 used daily to get me around and a ZD mower. The tractors are a necessity lifting, loading, tilling, hauling and other uses to make things easier for me. Without them I couldn't get much done. Maintenance can pose a problem sometimes getting down on the floor to work on equipment is difficult, getting back up is harder. I have hung some straps at various places in my shop to allow me to pull myself up and this helps. Wife said maybe I should give up my equipment, I will when they bury me. Planing on my next tractor, bigger, more loader lift capacity and a heated /ac cab with an air ride seat. I am not handicapped just physically challenged, but I can still hold and love my grand babies. The pain lets me know I am still alive and that beats the alternative, I still have much to learn and live for.

I think everybody knows how old you are it's just that everybody is curious as to how many years experience you've had at it.

But aside from that, it's rude to ask a Lady her age !!!

But if I tell, then that is no longer a mystery. And a lady always keeps a little mystery! :D

But aside from that, it's rude to ask a Lady her age !!!

Yes, it certainly is!

Yes, it certainly is!

I never think it rude to ask a Woman her age. I'm certainly not asking to make jokes about it or her. And usually I'm impressed that the woman in question looks as young and vibrant as she does being the age she is. :)

For example, I guess you at 52. Even though, after only seeing one picture, it appears you are in your mid 40s. :)

The only thing I for certain know about women is that a man should never ask age or weight. So far knowing those two things has kept me alive and un-slapped.

I have found that there is two ways that a man can tell the age and weight of any ladies.. It doesn't take a lot of work but it does take some.. Her driving licenses and health records,, getting to see them is where the work comes in.. Lou

My son is an EMT and recently told me that many fire departments and some police departments will respond to a "lift assist" and not charge a fee; if assistance is requested through 911, there will often be a charge. We installed a keypad garage door opener, so in case something happens no one has to break a door frame or lock.
