Shackle tabs...or D rings, whatever you prefer. When offroading sometimes it's handy to have a choice of tow points. One good example is poping someone out of a snowy ditch. Ditch side on stuck rig, and opposite side on tow rig. Opposite keeps them both going in a straight line...or can pull the tow rig in the ditch too.

I didn't have anything capable of drilling for a 3/4" shackle so I'll pick up some 5/8"ers. The Tracker's half the weight of the jeep, so should be plenty strong.

Took her out to clean the garage, and bring the trash to the end of the driveway

As light as that thing is you will probably need some more aggressive tires for snow, maybe something like an tractor tread.

I like the FlowThrough air conditioning.

LOL, I wanted a more "open air" feel. Easy in/out too.

...but the AC still works! :)

Shackles (used them alot today) and licence plate

Playin'
Snowy hill Tracker challenge! - YouTube

Got stuck at least 6 times today playing around... tonight I noticed my tires had 35lbs of air!!! Let's see how 10 works. I did manage to get a couple hundred feet into the trail... that was fun :)

Probably a dumb question, but that's never stopped me. :D

Why do you have a license plate on an "off highway" vehicle?

Nice work!

But.. Wwwwhhy.... isn't it way better at driving through a little snow?!? My Volkswagen Jetta can shred much harder than that... just sayin.

Anything that leaves your property here needs a plate. I think it's $40/ year and goes towards trail/ bridge building... mostly snomobile trails. I suppose it should be insured too... but I'm not sure if I'm keeping it or selling it in the spring.

LOL, so does my Coblat. Several reasons; open diffs, pretty well slick all terrains... and last night when I was puttering in the garage I checked the tire pressure and they were at 35psi!!! LOL Took them down to 10... we'll see what happens.

Oh, and I remembered you had requested a vid.... :)

Those tires need to go.

Yeah, my buddy was over yesterday (towed me with his fourwheeler a couple times)... he was saying it needs boggers. I said I think I'd like KM2s on it. I guess I'm getting old and tamer. LOL

Like I said; I may not keep it... so I'm not gonna throw too much cash at it. She's lots of fun as is.

You could always cut a bit more siping into those all terrains. If you replace them... go narrower. Weld the center diff?

Thanks for the vid, it's good to see it motoring about.

If I do anything to these I think I'll get a nice fat blade for my groover and cut out every other lug (what's left of them. LOL). I looked up 31" BF Goodrich KM2s, and they're 10.5" wide, $250 each. Yikes. I think the 30" ones were 9.5".

The thing about welding the rear is she's armstrong steering, so I'm very hesitant to do anything that might make it harder then it is... I suppose if I found a 2nd set of spider gears I could always go back.
