Hi Jeff!

Like I said, "Seriously mis-informed". I'm sure Mark will be by shortly to apologize.

I'm wondering if all said above would suggest that Italian Inverters are better than Chinese inverters? That must be the belief or there would be no controversy. I know some of the Chinese Inverters have bad reputations but I once sold a line of Italian Inverters and when we pulled the covers off of 4 identical 150 amp units, They were all very different inside.. just sayin.

Orezok give it a rest already. Mark has nothing to apologize for and he wasn't "seriously mis-informed". The machine was discontinued and he wasn't sure about a replacement or where it was made. There is nobody on the planet that knows what every other manufacturer is doing or where they source their machines.

Well, let痴 set the record straight. None of the MIG Welders, TIG Welders or Plasma Cutters HTP America currently sells or has ever sold were ever made in China. The machine in question has been discontinued - the main reason it was discontinued was we found most people who purchase a TIG welder want to weld aluminum. A DC TIG machine will not weld aluminum. It was not replaced with anything and it was certainly not replaced with a 130/140 amp machine from China.

Different HTP products are built in different countries. The Invertig 160DC was built in Italy. The PC boards were designed and built in house. The PC boards were not built in China and then sent to Italy to be installed in the machine.

That makes sense. The only people I know who tig steel are either artists or work on exotic automobiles of one kind or another.

Mr HTP:

Sorry to hijack this thread, but while I have your attention -- I own a MIG 160 DV, great machine, but my welding needs have gone beyond what it can easily do. I have $$'s burning a hole in my pocket like .035 wire with 200 amps through 24 gage, Anyway, I want to buy a HTP Mig 2400, but I see they are out of stock? When do you expect that situation to be rectified (pun intended)?

Sorry mark for the attacks! Your info has helped me tremendously in previous posts of the past, I hope you keep your good work up! You can't please everybody.

No disrespect to you Jesse, but you need to go back and re-read Marks posts. He was first to "attack" HTP by wrongfully stating that they were "from China". This has been clearly demonstrated to be UNTRUTHFUL!. All I did was to call him out on his attack on HTP and his failure to acknowledge it.

I'm sure mark wasn't demeaning Chinese units if he thought it was from China because he represents everlast which is a Chinese unit, if he misquoted I'm sure it was a simple mistake , however I will reread previous posts.

I am sure we all have our ignorance moments:D

The other day I was reading at the Everlast Forum I saw this thread
