looking for used snow plow

I found another one for $200 which is better. Now I can replace the cyl. with new and I think I found a weld on skid plate from WorkSaver for $139. I will sand blast it an I hope I can be off and running for $5-600 for something like brand new.

What model plow is it? And how bad is it rusted?

IF it is structurally sound, thats good. New cutting edges are under $100 too last time I checked.

You can get a 1/4 plate for $125 and a 3/8 plate for $95 on ebay.

When you search craigslist try using snowplow, snow plow, snowblade, snow blade.

Ditto. You never know how people are going to list stuff. IF you search snowplow, and someone has it listed any of the other 3, it wont show up.

Same when searching for a rotary cutter AKA bushhog. ITs bushhog, bush hog, brushhog, and brush hog.:thumbsup:

For $200 all yo get is rust thru holes. Found another a state away for $400 an he says no rust. Photos look fine. I think its mine. Now the mounting plate thing

I think it should be more than enough. I would add some braces to it.

$400 is his asking price, not his selling price. Check out the cutting edge, skid shoes, and cylinders too.

I looked around for junk plows, figuring my time, I found a better deal going to the tractor dealers and finding a good used one. All I have to do is pull up the QA and let her rip. I have no problem rebuilding it, but all I saw was junk on CL, and I would have to put another 7-800 into it. Not worth it in my book.

I got an old jeep plow 6' for $400. Put new cyl 3500lb paint got a QA mount lines to the FELQA and wala, $800 final cost ans it looks very nice. I'll take some pics and post em. $800 for a brand new plow. think I will get a Western decal for the front. Being 6' lg theres no push off and its fine for my 900' drive and around the hse.I keep the BH on right now

Have 6' Fisher power angle on my JD 790 and love it. We do about 1500' driveway plus the barnyard, blow the sides back with my rear blower as needed but plow the bulk of it. Hard to beat this combo for my situation. Bought mine at an auction for $40, another $250 by the time I got the hydraulics hooked up but money well spent in my opinion. Built My own JD attachment plate. If anyone is interested I have a 6' power angle blade for sale, $200 no rust through, not new but decent shape, central Maine. Can text pics if interested.

I bought a Western 7 footer for $400. Probably put another $300 o$400 more for new cutting edge, one hydraulic cylinder, paint and iron to build a mount. Around Omaha, rarely is a snow plow priced for sale less than $400.
