Coffee is brewing. 63° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 76° with a some sun and clouds throughout the day. Going to cut the lawn after doing a few garage sales this morning.
Good Morning All.

Larro, great pictures. Nothing like a drenching florida rain where it feels like someone is pouring a bucket on your head.

have a busy day planned, and it looks like the high pressure we had here just erased any rain that tried to come through.
So today I move equipment around and tomorrow we split wood after the temps have gone down. And I say we because nadene loves to split wood with me.

Maybe if I whine enough someone will come weed eat for me

Geez that whining is bad, I can hear it all the way up here. Guess I'll have to throw the Echo in the Suburban and head to
Virginia soon.

thanks guys, again, for all the kind thoughts. No more medical stuff for awhile, though TXDon I'm glad you got into that study and I hope it helps you.

I need to stop whining, but man, I think I see a pattern of positive. I get home last night and, OMG, even the back pasture was cut! :)

And, around a lot of the t-posts, weed eaten! :) :) Well most of them anyway.

I need to track the guys down and say thanks.

Drew, prayers and thoughts your way.

In the 90's today. Luck would have it the pool is still open. Boomers heading our way for a cool down this afternoon.

Maybe I can see the guys cutting before the rain hits. The equipment is still here, and the pastures are 1/2 way cut.

Now Riptides, you clearly aren't whining, it must be a magical siren call to guys with mowers.
Bet you had your wife record something sultry to play over their cab radios. Whatever it takes. :D
And maybe a few speakers on the fence posts to keep that weed eating going.
what a setup.

Watered the garden last night then a thunderstorm rolled in and watered it again with about 8/10 of an inch. Cooled down a lot with the high today only about 75.

You better go down to the county land records and check, these guys might be grabbing your land through adverse possession while you're gone! Sounds like you have great neighbors!

70 now, humid, another hot muggy one, then fall hits, starting Friday highs from 68-80 for the next week with low humidity.

I am going to Royal Oak this am, going to a specialist about a swollen ankle. Lots of folks have 0 power this am, as a storm went thru last night. We are ok, but driving across Detroit in rush hour is not gonna be fun. Have a good one, boys.

Last time I was in Detroit proper, was around 2002-2003, had to detour off the interstate due to construction, the potholes looked like fox holes. Nearly beat the bottom out of my lowered '67 Impala SS!

I have to adjust the front rollers on my Kubota mower's deck before cutting grass today. Some mowers have instructions that the wheels are not gage wheels, but my Kubota's OM says to drop the deck down and allow it run on the wheels. I have the big wheels on the rear adjusted for the maximum height cut, but the front rollers have two settings and I can drop the rollers down an inch. The problem is my Bermuda grass has a green canopy, but just below that canopy, it is brown. If I drop the deck all the way down to the gage wheels, it cuts into the brown even though the grass is still close to 3" tall. I'm gonna see if dropping the front rollers will keep that from happening. My John Deere mower cuts well, but the blades are worn and I need to put new ones on. I'm starting to see uncut lines that cause me to have to overlap too much on each pass. I have a choice of replacing blades on the Deere or adjusting the front rollers on the Kubota. Since the blades are sharp and fairly new on the Kubota, I think I'll do the adjustment. I just don't think my doctor would want me tugging on a deck to pull it out and replace blades; maybe in a couple of weeks when my surgery incision has healed. What the heck! I love my diesel Kubota G1800 anyhow.

The weather seems to have cooled a few degrees here at 68 F this morning. No rain, but still cooler is better than nothing. I'm still in a 5-day cycle of mowing and watering.
