B2400 4WD = no love........

Shifter seems to operate OK but I get no power to front wheels.....Where to start????

I live/operate in hilly terrain and need 4wd often....HELP!!!

I'd check the drive shaft coupler first!

I'd check the coupler first too. $2000 is a little high for that repair. I did a pto fork which involves splitting the tractor the same way for a customer 2 yrs ago, for $1400 at his vineyard, so even with my rate increase to $100/hr and possible price difference on parts, I'd say maybe $1600 if the fork is broken.

Well I don't know how to explain this but in preparation to take it in for repair I took off the loader, took off the mower, and generally cleaned it up bait....The 4WD seems to be working fine again.....I changed the front axle lube, and HST fluid & filter, cleaned the HST strainer and everything seems to be working properly....With fingers crossed I cancelled my scheduled appointment.....Hardly any fillings etc in the strainer and nothing noteworthy about the old front axle fluid.....I'm wondering if the bi-speed steering was acting wonky leading me to believe the 4WD was at fault.....Perhaps my cleaning efforts were sufficient to restore just a wee bit of proper linkage movement? I dunno....I hope everything remains tickity boo.......
