Rodger: how long is that thing again? 72"? IF you bring it to them already sandblasted and clean of oils/weld residue etc. it would probably be about 150~200 due to the weight of it & it needing pre-heating.

Roger I don't know of any powder coaters in your area, we built about a hundred of the systems but don't remember any going into that area off hand. lot of them in Northern Ohio NY Mich, Ill and on the southern coast and midwest too. For some reason Virginia TN didn't get any closest I can remember was one in KY just a few miles south of Gallipolis Ohio.
I have about 4 places within 50 mile radius of me I could take something to & get it done for cost or do a tune up on their system and get the work in trade.

Yes it is a 72." $200 is barely even worth getting the paint gun dirty.
HAH You probably built ours at Van Dorn in Strongsville
Did you do conveyor systems? It possible we have 4 or 5 in Akron, & Canton & East of Canton a couple, we have a couple in Amish Country (Apple creek) and in greater Cleveland area (maybe yours?) some in Solon.
Company is/Was "Mark Engineering" changed name to "HAYNNCORP" in the later 90's or early 2000's. We also built a bunch of equipment for a couple 3rd parties that put their names on systems we built. WHK was one of them (Eclipse Dealer) out of Northern Ohio.

I called the powdercoater this morning and asked him if I could email pictures of the grapple for a estimate. I sent him a link to EA's website. I'll let you guys know what I find out.
A good powder coat job from someone that knows what he's doing will run from 250.00 to 300.00 but should not chip flake or come off in sheets. It should stretch a bit when contacted. I've done powder coating for over twenty years with Spikers system I think.
Something we agree on it seems. While I no little about it I have a good powdercoater I use.

Would that include sand blasting?
Our line would need as much grease off of the parts, How bad is the steel? we would do a acid a bath then phosphate bath then the dryer then preheat then paint then to a 1 million btu oven.
It is not rusty at all. It would mainly need degreased.
I don't know what the "kit" will cost, but after adding $200 for finishing an all of the setup and weldment time, they will have to be pretty cheap to make it truly worth it.
