Took this pic 20 minutes ago. 72 degrees / 90 % humidity :( . Suppose to rain some in about 2 hours. Thats life down here in SW/Fla. If anybody wants to will trade some snow believe it or not for pigmy rattlers and or cottonmouths. You pay shipping and sign liability waiver.
Waiting on one of my sons to come over with 3 grandkids. Their going fishing off bank out back .

Boone

pic taken from back door of what they call lanai around here(screened in porch)

Got about 4 inches of heavy wet snow last night, in the low 30's. Bullbreaker, I spent about a year in Okeechobee. Larson Dairy hired me right out of college. If I couldn't live in KY I'd be there.

50 degrees and wind steady at 9 mph. Suppose to be the warmest day out of the next 7. Possible ice storm coming Thur. Got .23" of rain last night, that makes 2.73" for the month all of it in the last week. First beneficial rain we've had since the first week in Oct. We're way behind in rainfall here. Small grains are struggling, but they did come but up it looks weak. If we have a hard Winter it could be ugly next Spring.

28 degrees and about 4 fresh inches of new snowfall atop the 14 inches that fell 2 days ago. It's beginning to look a lot like winter!!

We are gearing up for the first major snowfall of the year. 45 cm expected... that's roughly 17" followed by ice pellets. Generator is full, gas line anti-freeze added and started just to test - OK. Tractor is topped up, blower on and everything greased. Flashlights, candles and everything in position in case the lights go out. Fridge/freezer full. Horses bedded down and everything stowed away. Lots of firewood stacked in the house. Weather station is calling for major travel disruptions and road closures. We don't have to go anywhere etc.
Good time to hunker down and or continue to clean my workshop...

Fair well all.

41F outside right now.....will get down to mid 30's tonight. Calling for possible rain tomorrow....not a surprise....we get about 100 inches per year. Possibly some light snow on Monday. We watch the storms come in over the ocean....rain on us and head East. Once they hit the Cascades.....snow. Those same storms move further East....cause major blizzards in the Mid West and East. All that white stuff some of you have gotten over the past few days was rain to us about a week ago. Forget the Dopler Radar.....I can tell you what's coming about a week out.

Same; he said 1-2 inches, we got about a foot. I spent yesterday afternoon cleaning up after Thursday's storm; most of toworking on this one. (note to self; buy more diesel tomorrow.) It's winter though, it's supposed to snow.
