Well 40 miles or so downriver from the Falls of the Ohio River it's in the mid 30's now, wind was blowing all night, periods of rain, freezing rain, sleet, and snow. Pretty slushy on the roads, few slide offs. Cattle doing okay. They and I don't like mud and wind. I'd rather have frozen ground and snow. I'll start calving in 60 days. Hows the weather in your neck of the woods?

I love the falls of the Ohio. Really cool fossils.

Anywho, draw a line between you and me up in South Bend and pretty much everything east is getting hammered with snow and wind. A foot of snow south of Indianapolis in Bloomington. Indy has blizzard warnings.

We had a nice sunny day, high 26* with light winds.

The storm will reach us beginning late tonight through tomorrow. We started out with 6-10 inches snow forecast and now they are calling for 12-18 inches.

Se la vie. Tractor is full of fuel and the PTO snow blower is greased.

Quiet before the storm, weather station saying 8-12"..should be interesting. :)

Steady snow started just before 4:00PM. They are calling for 12 - 16 inches here. Fueled & ready:thumbsup:

Southern Utah mountains, 6200': Snowing pretty steady right now, on top of the 12" already on the ground. Driveway plowed but will prolly have to hit it again in the morning. Dogs lovin' it, goats are pissed. Outdoor cats snuggled into their heated hooches, indoor cats unconscious around the fireplace. One human asleep on the couch, the other alternating between favorite forums and actually getting a little work done. ;)

Covered in about a foot of snow that is now heading northeast; grandkids being drug around behind the Rhino; retired, so it doesn't bother me. If the power goes out I will fire up the generator.

It's currently 19 F out right now. Were supposed to hit a high of 39 F tomorrow. On Sunday the 30th it's supposed to hit 49 F. I'll believe it when and if it does get that warm. It'll be a nice change over these 20-30 F Highs.

22*, steady heavy snow, windy enough to rock the hardwood trees. Looks like about 3"-4" inches so far, but it's hard to tell with the breeze.

10 inches here in Western NY. Just got finished cleaning up the white stuff....

About 2in of sneet not enough to clean up. Temp is 35 now with lots of wind. Waiting on new storm Friday night maybe up to 6in

30 miles west of Toronto, maybe 6 inches of snow fell overnight.
Ground was frozen before hand, so cleanup was a breeze.
Of course, nobody knows how to drive in snow anymore.
Funny how everybody(TV, etc.) is calling this a big snowstorm...
anybody else remember the good old days when we got this kind of snowfall every week or so, and you didn't say 'big snowfall' until we got 2 feet or more in one blow?

Pete

26*, and still snowing. Supposed to wind down around midnight. It's been windy, so it's hard to tell how many inches we have, but I would guess around 10".

I just got back from Houston where all we had was lots of wind and a little rain. One the drive back, started seeing a bit of snow in the shade in Texarkana, Tx. By the time I got to Bismarck, Ark. we have at least 4" still on the ground from the storm. Had to walk out in the yard to retrieve my trash can that had blown away. Will get some photos of it tomorrow. 31.9F right now and falling.

Well it's been snowing for about two hours with a couple inches so far. Should have 2"-7" inches by morning. Temperature just right for a heavy wet snow. Maybe this improve the duck/goose hunting locally. Good luck and snuggle up to my TBN buddies in the Northeast, here she comes.

NW Oregon here, just spotty rain showers here and there, hasn't snowed since Christmas. Didn't have more than 2" then, so no plowing for me. :( However the weather man is calling for dry weather for the next week, a rare occasion for the wet Oregon winters.

Right at freezing in the Virginia mountains. We've had a few inches of snow for Christmas, and up to 3 more forecast for tomorrow. I wouldn't even care about that small amount if we didn't have a New Years Open House set Monday. Not sure how I can clear this little bit of snow off a mile of hilly gravel drive in such a way that folks without 4WD can get in and out. I've got solar Christmas lights along parts of the drive, and a ton of food... I'd had to have to cancel for such a small bit of snow. But I'd hate to spend New Years Eve on the tractor pulling cars up and out my drive.
