Thats nuts.... so that's what happens when you match a 7500RPM engine with a tractor's low gears? I wonder if they made any transmission modifications.

It actually is a Volvo BM tractor (Volvo sold their tractor division to Valmet, now Valtra, in the early 80's) which had a B18 kerosene engine, the forefather of the B23FT turbo engine they most probably stuffed in this one. Which means easy swap.

Over here guys start doing tractor dragraces, putting smallblocks in a Fordson Dexta or MF 35.

Then watch this guy: racing on a snow pasture. Just stay watching what happens when he approaches the canal...

That inline 5 TDI sounds good with a straight pipe though... I could strip the muffler of mine too perhaps

Indeed, crazy. But, it won't last long. From what I see in video, he used same original manifold, cast iron manifold. Due to high power now with the addition of turbo, temperature at manifold will increase much and temperature oscillations will cause fatique at manifold. He should replace it with a nickel-alloyed manifold, casting or welded pipe type as casting will require expensive tooling. By the way, I'm impressed with his driving, crazy like his tractor.
